Why is he the chosen one?

Obviously none of us have the answers, but I think the fanbase is assuming Mack has been the top "choice" from the beginning. He is the only option that has been rumored (and it's all rumor at this point) as who the administration is truly interested in, or has met with. Nobody "official" has said Mack is the top choice, or that he is the only option. So "all in" is a outside perception based on those facts. Having said that, if I am the coach in question, I would certainly want to "feel" that I am the top choice, regardless of the true reality of the situation. And finally, Mack seems to be one of the top (and realistic) options available out there right now. He's highly thought of, and...also seems to be a level of coach many of our rivals didn't think we could get at this point. So there's that. Winking
