I ate a few helpings of crow today. Didn't taste the best but I was more than happy to do it since KU played much better than I expected.

Tomorrow isn't going to be pretty. KU is going to get their ass kicked tomorrow. OSU is better or at least they have been against KU this season. I think KU comes out flat with no energy. The chances of them looking disinterested tomorrow are high. As our guys just go through the motions, the Pokes will run our guys off the floor and they won't be looking back.

I guess you got this wrong.

Assuming KU beats KSU.... You'd think the winner of WVU-TTU will be a solid favorite Saturday night.

With KU's big man out, plus a short bench playing their 3rd game in 3 days. Jayhawks might be feeling it.

Then again, it's Kansas. They usually find a way to get it done.

Doesn't matter what the spread is or who we are playing, if we play up to our ability...we win. Neither team would be advantageous to play without dok. TT plays smarter imo, but its also tough to beat a team 3 times in a couple months.

If (huge if) WVU makes it there, and we play for 40 minutes and not just 30 or 35... I like our chances.

Should've won both games against KU by double digits.

But, we've consistently shown we can't play for 40 minutes, so that probably wont happen.

Probably won't matter anyway. Not really expecting to beat Tech tonight.

wasn't there some kind of issue with the free throw disparity in one of those games?

I'm sure the refs wouldn't be thinking about the previous matchup and media reaction to it at all

Edit: We will get smoked by Tech anyway

Wonder if they'd let Higgins call the game if we played KU again.

Big 12 pulled him off the crew for the Texas Tech game after all that 35-2 crap went down.

I think that sounds fair. One of those two would be favored but I don't think the spread would be all that bad.

It's interesting, all three of KU, TTU and WVU have the same overall efficiency rating on kenpom right now

I didn't know that and I'm assuming no chance then if that's what happened

That's what Billy Hahn said. He also didn't hold back when he talked about recruiting about recruiting and how guys like adreian Payne, Tobias Harris and Lance Stephenson got paid.

304 podcast or something like that

Yeah I love the attitude from the coaches when they're candid. I think it was Colorado's coach earlier in the year after beating Arizona had a great rant about trying to coach against teams paying players and how his job depends on it

Yes, WVU took like 5 shots in the paint, the rest were 3{s or long range jumpers. KU drove it all night and drew fouls.

WVU - FG 27-61 (44.3%), 3PT 14-26 (53.8%), FT 1-2 (50%)
KU - FG 22-47 (46.8%), 3PT 7-22 (31.8%), FT 26-35 (74.3%)

So KU who drove it all night took 22 3-point attempts and WVU who was just jacking up shots put up only 4 more 3-point attempts.

Also I believe FG% includes 3s so 26-61 attempts is 42.62% for WVU. Meanwhile 22 3s of 47 shots is 46.81% of KU's offense.

I can deal with the 35.

The 2 was the issue.

Reallllly trying to move past that, but some of you KU fans don't wanna let it go. o_O
Don’t feel bad, KU only got to the line 4 times tonight until KSU was forced to foul late. 9 total fouls on the cats through 37 minutes. But we did shoot an abnormal amount of jump shots tonight. And Higgins was reffing

Damn. I've never seen people hold on to ref hate this long

It will be partially be forgiven after either WVU or TTU beat us in the Big 12 Championship Game tomorrow. I'm sure Fran will do that voodoo that he does in saying KU always gets a friendly whistle. Then Bruce Weber will say in his Mickey Mouse voice, "See, I told ya so. Fran said it so it must be true!!" as he hops up and down like a 3rd grader.
