Turgeon would probably be like 5th on the list. I don’t know who the first four would be, but if we’re down to Turgeon then we actually aren’t a blueblood. No offense.

Always good to beat a “soft” school who only concentrates on basketball while we have a top 15 program in basketball, baseball, football, softball etc...

Like most said earlier, the first game would be AU’s toughest.
NMSU had every advantage.
AU played 5 games in 8 days, played last Sunday, traveled 1300 miles the next day, had zero rest against a team that won 19 straight and had 5 days rest. Up by 13 with five minutes left and looked gassed. Would’ve taken a one point victory all damn day.
Both teams had terrible seeding.
Billy Self saw a rested AU team....

The only reason Auburn even advanced to the round of 32 is because NMSU has the worst last 2 seconds of any team in tournament history.
A player passed up an easy layup for a tie at regulation only to pass out and the auburn player made an absolutely idiotic foul on a 3 point shot. Then the kid missed 2 out of 3 free throws and somehow Auburn made another boneheaded play and knocked the ball out of bounds. Then Auburn failed to cover the inbound pass and the NMSU player shot an airball on a wide open three point shot.
Lets not get carried away here.

This is the most insane win. I really thought if we won it would be a final seconds win. Not over by halftime. That was just amazing. Not sure if I enjoyed that one or the Tenesssee win more.

Trust me...Iowa tries to cheat. They’re just really bad at it. And, of course, no shoe company wants to steer any talent there.
It will never happen, but Wes Miller could be that dude. He’s had real success in a short time at UNC-G and knows the game from Roy. KU has had good success with UNC players.

I didn’t say all time, and we are definitely better than Florida, Arizona, Ohio State at the moment. We won the SEC last year and won the SEC tourney this year and came into the NCAA tourney ranked 14 and are now in the sweet 16. It’s fairly easy to argue we are a top 15 program right now.
