Ant Man Edwards decides on Monday

I don't think a reclassified kid has ever ended up at UNC.

I feel like if he makes it to Tallahassee this weekend it almost has to be FSU, right? Gonna visit on Saturday/Sunday and then commit somewhere else on Monday morning? That doesn’t make sense.

But if the visit gets cancelled (like KU and UNC), then I think he goes with the Bulldogs. Which would be a shame because we’d never get to see him in the NCAAT.

Can’t believe he is going to ga to get creaned or better yet to play for Marvin Lewis at fla state. Dude really wants to get that yr of college out of the way so he can go make that money, even if he’s playing for a shitty team

Let’s be honest, if he did go with ham he would be out the first weekend away so why bother

Top 25 teams are shitty?

Yeah, all the time we suck and we’re ranked 5th. You and I both know even if he came to ham u he wouldn’t sniff past the sweet 16 and that’s him completely dominating because you know he will be the man and will take what shots he wants much like Langford at Indiana

I thought Elite 8s were the second weekend?

I guess maybe he could go lose to Robert Morris in the NIT?

Except he's already decided before visiting FSU, but after visiting Georgia. AND the momentum is with Georgia right now. AND he's from Georgia.

And yes, some top 25 teams are shitty. Probably more-so directed towards Georgia than Florida State, but Florida State is not very good either. Decent, but not great. I would wager that FSU ends the season with about 11, maybe 12 losses.

Why don’t you either make a prediction or go look like a dumb ass in some other thread?

My head says FSU.

But, if not UK, the “Crean gets fired from IU and then recruits the #1 player in America 2 years later” is a story I’m all the way here for.

I was simply pointing out he won’t make it past the first weekend at fla state. I was also saying that if he played his absolute best basketball and I mean beat the ceiling for him would be the sweet 16. Yes, I know that’s the second weekend. Ouch, the Robert Morris joke hurts especially since we won it all the yr before. When was fla state last title?

It’s not like he hasn’t been to FSU before. Wouldn’t he just cancel the visit if we wants to go to UGA? And I fully admit, he could still cancel it—there are certainly some reasons to go to UGA. Be the man who takes 25 shots a game and play 60 minutes from your home.

Yeah, FSU probably does end with 11 or 12 losses. Pretty good for a team with only 3 top 100 players and playing in the toughest league in the country.

But we made it passed the Sweet 16 just last year. Why would it be impossible for him to make it passed there at FSU, when we will have an even better team?

Is it impossible no of course not, but is it likely? nope. I just have no faith in Hamilton, yes I know he comes from ky, but he seems to always lose even when he has really good players. I know he won’t end up at Kentucky, so I hope for the greater good he can atleast best some teams in the acc.

It’s pretty weird. Ask a simple question and get a bunch of jokes about FSU only going to the Elite 8?

How many top 100 players did UK have on their NIT first round loss team? 6? 7?
And our best player Noel, tore his acl which led us to the nit. That team really sucked. Had he not gotten hurt, we would of made the tournament and lost in the first weekend. It was a weak team. Some guys were rated too high and we had Ryan harrow as a pg. thanks nc state

You're asking me if a teenager would dare take an all-expenses paid visit to a college campus in Florida, within a reasonable distance of his home, get the red carpet rolled out for him, play a couple of pickup games, go to a party on campus, get more tail thrown at him than a tail catcher, and then go back home and relax before announcing for a school that he decided on before that visit?

Yeah, I would wager that a teenager does something like that. It actually happens all the time.

There are a lot of Georgia recruits apparently buying into the notion of going to UGA and being the group that makes it cool to play basketball at UGA (for some reason, damned if I know why), and showing that you can be a very competitive team while playing at that school. Plus, I love to give Tom Crean shit. LOVE IT. It is one of the easiest things in the world to do, it's as if the jokes write themselves. He coaches a much more appealing brand of basketball than Leonard Hamilton, he probably has a better resume than Leonard Hamilton, and he gets to sell Dwyane Wade and Victor Oladipo. Who is Leonard Hamilton and FSU selling?

Also, there really isn't anything impressive about 11 or 12 losses. No matter what league you play in. It's not a good season to have.

How often do we have “really good players”?

Like I said, we didn’t even have a top 25 player last year and went to the Elite 8. We won the ACC Championship with a team that didn’t have a single first round draft pick. It’s best player was a 27 year old army vet who didn’t even play organized basketball until JUCO after he was in the military and Ham found him and developed him.

There’s only 4 guys in the NBA right now who went to FSU, two of whom weren’t even five stars.

So again, where is all this incredible talent that he fails with?

I typically would agree with your first part whole heartedly. Difference with Edwards is, he’s already cancelled a visit to KU and UNC in the last two weeks. Seems he’s not really the “go on a fun trip just to get ladies” type. Honestly, he doesn’t seem to enjoy the recruiting process all that much period. That’s why I said, “if he shows up in Tallahassee, I’ll go with FSU. If he cancels, sounds like UGA.”

As to the last part, I guess I’m not sure what you mean. Ham likes to play more up tempo than Crean and both seem to give their players the green light from anywhere on the court. Crean’s record looks like he has great offenses when he has a great player (like Oladipo) and average to below average offenses when he doesn’t (94th this year, 126th in 2014, 190th in 2010, 231st in 2009). Both seem okay with a little bit of sloppiness too, probably not wanting to hold back their playmakers too much.

Crean does have that Final Four in 2003...but high school kids today were like 2 years old when it happened. In the last decade, Hamilton has more NCAAT appearances and the single deepest appearance between the two.

Hamilton certainly doesn’t have an Oladipo to sell, that’s for sure. I guess his two best to sell are Jon Isaac, who seems to be coming along nicely in Orlando, and Malik Beasley, a 4 star from Atlanta who was developed into a one and done first rounder. That’s about it. Although he does have the whole, Michael Jordan hand picked me to coach the Wizards thing—for whatever that’s worth.

As for 11 or 12 losses, I can see why a UK fan would think that’s a terrible season. Just like I would think 5 losses in football is terrible. But if you lose 1 OOC, 8 in the ACC, 1 in the ACCT, and 1 in the NCAAT, that’s 11. That’s not horrible by our standards. What if you go 25-11 and make the Elite 8 or Final Four? Is that horrible? What if you go 26-10 and make the Sweet 16? Is that not a good season? I’m seriously asking here. Not for UK, just for an average basketball program.

Didn't see any Seminoles warning Herro, Travis or Johnson.. buncha a-holes those Noles fans.

You’re still pissed over a subtle jab I made. Omg it’s a damn message board. I knew it would ruffle your feathers comparing uk to to New England winning 2 of 3 years. It was a joke not an attack nothing more.

Can’t imagine why you’d want to play for FSU or UGA over Kentucky. Seems weird. Character issues?
