Yep. It's easy enough after they get called on it to claim they knew it all along and weren't taking it so seriously, but they're completely oblivious to how stuff like this goes viral and truly contributes to division in this country. In being so oblivious, they lack the introspection to see their role, so they look at the final results and start blaming them on everyone but themselves.

Analysis / Bias
The Daily Wire presents news with a right wing bias in reporting and wording. For example headlines are usually sensational and utilize strong emotional language such as this: Democrats Boo God. Then They Quote The Bible To Attack Trump.
Virtually every story favors the right and denigrates the left. The Daily Wire has also published some false information such as these and this directly from Ben Shapiro. Further, a factual search reveals that the Daily Wire, on a whole, has a mixed track record with fact checkers.

the far left version would probably be the young turks who are awful. The daily wire is OBVIOUSLY biased toward the right, they don't lie about it and are pretty forthcoming. I'm not championing the daily wire at all, I don't read it, but I do enjoy listening/watching to Ben Shapiro who started the company. I don't agree with all of his policies but he is a smart conservative that is very good at debating leftists and at least willing to have an honest conversation with someone who has opposing views rather than shouting someone down like the far left likes to do.
I don’t know Sharpio much except by reputation, and I have no idea who the Young Turks are. I do, however, hesitate to believe that the guy who started that website and who argued that the majority of Muslims are radicals is REALLY into honest conversations, you know? My guess is it is more “point scoring talking” sort of stuff, although again, I don’t know the guys work outside of Daily Wire.

You should stop basing your opinion on someone's "reputation." Jordan Peterson, Sam Harris, Bret Weinstein, Ben Shapiro all get misrepresented by people who disagree with what they're saying and they get labeled bigots, nazi's (Shapiro is an orthodox Jew), etc. because they don't fall in line with the group think on the left. Which is funny because at least 50% of the people I mentioned are liberals they're just not crazy and are capable of independent thought that, again, doesn't jive with the group think of the far left.
As much time as you spend fighting the political fight on a COLLEGE BASKETBALL message board you ought to take the time to look into someone's opinions and views before writing them off because of their "reputation."

The Daily Wire openly admits it's a conservative website. But at the same time, they call out Republicans all the time. Trump is outed just about every week for his foolish words/actions, mostly by Ben Shapiro himself. I don't agree with everything that is said, but they do a solid job, for the most part, of presenting multiple viewpoints. I doubt you read much from the website, other than copy and paste snippets taken out of context. And guess what? Some of the staff members have done some fact-checking on one of the more "objective" newspapers, the Washington Post. Take a look:
