It's all arbitrary. Has to be that way so they can justify an easy path and a high seed for some teams while sticking it to others. Least transparent post season process in all of sports, led by the most corrupt organization in all of sports.
I agree for the most part. If teams have similar resumes they're going to put in the team that will draw more viewers and matchups people want to see. MSU has 4 losses and will end up UVA's 4 seed, I would says WVU and Kentucky will be paired up but the regular season game should nullify that, who are some others that regularly have to play in the tournament?
I know Roy vs KU happened a few years when it seemed kind of a stretch. However, teams have to be somewhere and I'm not really as paranoid as some UNC and UK fans who feel like the world is out to get them.
Beginning this year they CLAIM things like KenPom will matter. Will be interesting to see how it actually plays out.
they claim shit every year, then do what they want. people who think they actually make decisions solely on metrics are delusional.

The committee can say whatever they want but their lack of consistency on sticking to their word sucks like something fierce. What ends up happening is the committee makes new criteria up as they go along.
