300 win club

Uhoh. Hope you don’t get stuck on 299
I don’t have any ill will towards Kentucky or it’s fanbase. Was just rehashing our conversation from last week and remembered you guys still needed two wins to join the 300 wins this decade club. The match against Georgia tech was close but a win, now with the loss to Utah you guys will need to be either #5 Ohio state or #3 Louisville. Both teams have looked really good this year.

True. I like our chances at home against UL more than Vegas against OSU. UL sucks ass at PG, and that's our strong suit. Plus it's at home.

Also, apparently our guys suck ass at shooting in Vegas. Lowest % this season, and it's wasn't just Utah's defense. We were missing bunnies near the rim and wide open 3's.

Timeframing is weak. I'd rather my team be the ALL TIME leader.

Oh wait....
UCLA used to be like that, then they weren't. Hmmm UKe has not won the SEC in two years and has not been to the Final Four in five years. Sounds like a program is slip sliding into mediocrity. Enjoy your past your future is not looking too bright. Bruce Pearl owns the SEC now.

UVA fans aren't this bad and they won the Championship. Some don't know how to handle the success of losing in the Final Four.

Is AU a member of the 300 win club?

That's rhetorical.

We only had Bruce for half the decade and then he had to rebuild from a probation ridden roster due to the tony barbee being an absolute piece of shit and the worst basketball coach in sec history.

Facts. Cal has lost his mojo just like coach K and you know it and it scares you, because ya'll gave him a lifetime contract when you should have gone after Musselman. Now Arky will rise and UK will fall as Auburn's toughest opponent. Florida with White-Hahahaha That is a bigger joke than Cal at UK.

.....just your opinion.

Good god, AU fan.... surely you've had a beer before. Don't act like it's your first one.

FACT.... #1 recruiting class for 2020....UK.

Actually not an opinion, but a statistical analysis of a program in decline. If UK does not get it turned around this season well you are looking at a pattern of failure. Better pray UK gets it turned around and wins a SEC championship and makes it to the Final Four or it is going to be easier to negative recruit against UK. I can hear it now from coaches having success, "Yeah, they were once great, but so was UCLA and look at them. Kid, you don't want to tie your boat to that sinking ship called Kentucky basketball."

You are clearly new to this. Hate timeframes, but you're trying to give legs to some imaginary 'trend', so here goes... past 10 years:
  • Most wins- UK
  • Most Elite 8's- UK
  • Most Final Fours- UK
  • Most NCAAT wins- UK
...if you were throwing darts at a dartboard in trying to make a point, you'd be putting holes in the drywall.

How can John Calipari have less wins than Mark Few or Bill Self this decade but Kentucky has the most wins of the last 10 years?

Does not compute.

Last five years no Final Fours. Last five years zero wins vs Auburn in the Elite 8. Last two years no SEC championships. That is a pattern of decline. Hmm What happened in the last five years The coaches of the SEC champions the last two years were hired; Pearl, Barnes, Wade. hahaha You guys are so scared and we read how your fans whine about Cal not winning the big ones and want to fire him and are upset he was given a lifetime contract. I will say this; his strategy of loading up on one and dones is not working. Coach K has seen it and changed how he recruits this year. Getting one or two one and dones is smart, but having to reload a starting line up every year with five players brand new to the system will not work in regards to getting to the Final Four most years.

Also, you forgot to say Kentucky is tied for 4th in NCAA titles with 3 other schools.

All in the past. The last years has seen a decline in UK dominance and a rise in other programs. I blame Cal's recruiting strategy of loading up on one and dones. Coach K was doing the same with zero tournament success and has changed that tactic this recruiting season. Experience matters in the tournament. So what does "UK's #1" recruiting class look like? Is it full of high 4 stars that will build a base for the program by being in the system 3-4 years or is it full of players that plan on staying only 1-2 years? hahahaha So many one & dones equals no champions.

How has Coach K lost his mojo? As this thread has shown Duke is one of less than a handful of teams with 300 wins this decade.

Duke has had ZERO success with OAD? In 2015 when we won the NCAA Title 3 of our 5 starters were OAD players. I would say that proves that Coach K has had some success with OAD. Just because a team doesn’t win the NCAA Title with a bunch of OAD players that doesn’t mean that they haven’t had success, or just means that they didn’t have the amount of success that they were hoping for.

Two teams won over 300 games in the 2010's. Will any other teams join them?
Kansas
Gonzaga

Screw the stupid calendar games:

Kentucky
YEAR Wins Losses
2010 35 3
2011 29 9
2012 38 2
2013 21 12
2014 29 11
2015 38 1
2016 27 9
2017 32 6
2018 26 11
2019 30 7
Totals: 305 71

305 wins for Kentucky in the last decade.

Now how many times has Kansas and Gonzaga ever won 38? In the last decade UK did it twice.
