2020-21 College Basketball Draft, FINAL STANDINGS

Isaiah Livers

PS That shocked face doesn't mean I think it's a bad pick.

Akinjo’s efficiency numbers are horrid. 33 from the field and 24 from 3 are terrible, but he did only play 7 games.

1. I don’t really care about efficiency numbers. Akinjo is the lead guard on a solid team in a conference that doesn’t play defense.

2. He shot 39% from three as a freshman on 133 attempts. He shot 24% as a sophomore on 33 attempts. I think it would be smart to consider both years since his sophomore sample size is so small.

Surprised he got to me. I'll take the AAC POY Quentin Grimes from Houston.
I’m not confident he’ll be best player on his way own team. Mills put up similar stats as a freshman and shot better from 3.

Stopped getting notifications on this thread for some reason. Sorry for dropping the ball on updating the other list if people were using it still.

Agreed. I know I ranked Grimes higher. But if I had to do it over again, I think I would put Caleb Mills ahead of Quentin Grimes.

Andy Katz has Scottie Barnes and Franz Wagner as contenders for the Karl Malone award. @GE Nole @hailtoyourvictor What am I missing? I thought these two both played in the backcourt.

Andy is an idiot. Scottie is on the Cousy Award watchlist. He’s playing PG for us.

Katz has a lot of bad takes. Can't believe he whiffed on those inclusions. It seems like his only criteria for delineating by position is height and weight.

Also, @Jaycg15 is up.

I hate this pick, but I'm going with Landers Nolley, Memphis.

It feels a little bit like Mac McClung. High-volume shooter on decent-good team. Likely the #1 option. Not a huge fan of either player, but I can see the justification, seeing how he's likely to garner the most postseason awards.

@WojoRising has back-to-back picks.

Yep, I hate players of this style, and I can see both flopping.

I guess we are, in fact, in the era of position-less basketball. Just funny/interesting how players are labeled differently. Franz Wagner is on the Jerry West watchlist, which is intended for two guards. Listed as a guard on the Michigan's official website. So, he's anywhere from a 2 to a 4.
He can get away with some 4 minutes in college but as a pro player he projects as a wing. Physically he is not a 4 or a big man, but it depends on the kind of lineup the other team has out there.

Yeah he’s definitely not a 2 guard. He’ll play small forward almost entirely this year. Last year he played the 4 a bit because Livers missed 6 weeks with an injury.

Carsen Edwards won the Jerry West Award as a sophomore and then was on the Cousy Award watchlist instead as a junior. No idea why.

It has been 24 hours. @Jaycg15 is up again.
I'm starting to hate this. Ron Harper Jr., Rutgers. He's a stud. Can shoot, score, rebound, takes care of the ball. The only problem is he's in the Big Ten. There are two other B10 guys that I debated taking over him, but I'd rather pay attention to this guy.

Not sure if it goes back to @WojoRising or @JimboBBN. @dukedevilz, since it was two picks, should it be 48 hours. What's the protocol here?

Back to @WojoRising. His 7th round pick got skipped. Now his 8th round pick is essentially on the clock. Don't think it would be fair to get skipped over twice for one 24-hour violation. If 24 hours passes again without a selection, then it would go back to you - and then Jimbo and everyone else would be free to skip ahead, provided they can get their pick in before Wojo.

Sorry guys, I missed my last notification.

Seth Towns and Kellan Grady for my picks.

@JimboBBN is up (I think)
Towns is interesting. I thought about him. He could be the best player on a top 25 OSU team, and he also could be a role player. His shooting splits are encouraging though, even if he can’t go get his bucket in the Big Ten like he did in the Ivy’s, but he has a nice jumper regardless.

Man, this is tough. I'm going to go the win shares play and take my 2nd Zag. Give me Joel Ayayi. He should be good for 2nd team all conference and about 5 win share points.

@dukedevilz is on the clock.

Joel Ayayi could sneak up on people. I think it's very possible that he could end up being more valuable than Suggs. Freshmen, of course, won't have as much time to catch up as they normally do. No international trips, less practices, less scrimmages, less time for players to mesh and build continuity. Ayayi is a stud and is very capable of having a monster junior season.

I'm going to take East Carolina's Jayden Gardner. @GE Nole is up.
