2018-19 Pick 'Em Week 6 (Posting Early)

Hi all,

I live in Western North Carolina and we're expected to get 12-24 inches of snow this weekend. Not sure what my status for the early part of next week will be. So, I thought it'd be better to get this posted in advance. Obviously still a long ways to go in week 5. I'll give this thread a bump sometime next week and include the updated standings.

I recognize I've included Purdue here for three weeks in a row. I'll be sure not to include them for week 7! Hard to find games this week where I think posters might side with either team.

I've been tagging you, along with everyone else that has played thus far.

I'd like to have a couple of double point weeks - maybe the last week of January, February, and March (Sweet 16 games). Also, I think I'd be okay with dropping everyone's lowest weekly score. Still a bit of a gap for everyone who has missed a week or two, but I'd like to encourage as many people as possible.

Here is the remainder of weeks we have left. All dates listed will be Mondays, which would be the first possible game of the week. Bolded dates will be double point weeks. Still a long, long ways to go in this contest.

Nope. The week of finals is usually a slow week of basketball. Between the games played on Monday and Tuesday, I think New Mexico/Colorado is probably the best matchup, which isn't saying much. LSU/Houston will play on Wednesday. Rest of the games are on Saturday.

In hindsight, I'm thinking I probably should have included the Villanova/Kansas game. Forgot that Doke was injured - and certainly KU hasn't been playing lights out the last few games. Just didn't expect anyone to pick Nova to win on the road. Oh well. Too late to change that.

Also, starting to feel better about not including the Nova/KU game. Nova hasn't lossed to any bad teams yet, but they haven't looked remotely special. Hard to see them advancing to the 2nd weekend this year.
