Time to leverage my graduate degree and root against IU (not that I don't anyway but...).
That's so last year. Plus I'm allowed to cheer for X since I was born in Cincy, grew up going to games at the shittiest arena in the world (Cincinnati Gardens), my bro went to school there, and the court is named for my best friend's family. 😁

Well you already had one guy get a shit talking tech and it happens again in the same game. Coach doesn't address it after the first time it's his fault when it happens again.
I mean Xavier certainly is no NC A&T, E Illinois, SEMO, etc, etc....

So his players just don't listen to him? That's always kind of been a gripe of mine. If I was a basketball or football coach the first thing my team would know is that they will be disciplined and we won't ever put ourselves in position to get whistled for stupid technical fouls that we can prevent by just not being idiots. It's even worse in football because you stop a drive and then it continues on a penalty because some idiot made a tackle then decides to stand over the receiver and flex or talk shit, or takes a late shot at the QB, hits the ball carrier when he's already out of bounds, etc. That shit drives me absolutely bonkers and you would think it would drive coaches crazy too yet it happens all the time and it changes the outcome of games all the time too.
I dunno....Guess not. I mean, its not like this has never happened before. Kid is a freshman. Had it been an upperclassman----Meh, maybe a bit of concern---Maybe.
I know this---Woody was not happy in his presser. And was not happy Xavier kid didn't get a "T" after his dunk; and he should have.

There are a lot of times I think techs are deserved and sometimes I think it's a little ticky tack. Still, don't even put yourself in the position to make it questionable. Yes, I get that they are young kids and they get excited when they make big plays. But there are plenty of ways to display their enthusiasm without getting T'd up.

Techs on IU were weak....But----well, ya know, just shut up and play
Same game. IU helped Xavier a bit at the end to make it more interesting, but ultimately a really nice early season road win.
