This was my first viewing of Hansel Emmanuel Donato as they came away with a 20-point win in their only Sunday game

In case you’re not aware of Donato, he is the 1-armed viral sensation who came over recently from the Dominican Republic and is now at Life Christian Academy in Florida.

Donato has great feel for the game, his passing was very apparent early, both in the half court and in the full court. It is honestly uncanny with how he is able to score the ball, even through contact at times, in the paint. He has quick hands with some pop and length. The question mark will be defensively, but he can do some things in the passing lanes and, again, his length and pop is intriguing. His recruitment, along with his story, is fascinating and will continue to be moving forward.

Per his coach, George Mason and Howard have been in contact after seeing him live.

That is the story everyone wants to hear, but the story of the game was Donato’s teammate Kameron Johnson, who finished with a game high 34 points. The big bodied 6’7 unsigned Senior out of Doral High showed great touch, as he absorbed contact around the basket and even knocked down pick & pop jumpers extending out to the 3-line. Johnson’s dad played in the league for a bit and he and his coaches both say he is qualified. There is a lot to like here off this viewing as a late take, and even more so if he ends up going the prep route.
