UK has been a head-scratcher so far. It seems we have two identities. Duke and Michigan seem pretty solidly-established in their capabilities and expectations. Tennessee has looked pretty strong too. Was surprised today by KU. Hadn't seen IU play yet this season. Anybody you'd add (for better or worse)?

What we did to UK was certainly all anal
I heard where coaches are making their players squat on these before their Duke game so there's no ripping.

KU has established that they are a bunch of bitches. 2nd Round loss is looming over this team unless we pull our heads out of our asses.

Even though any team, including the Vols, can lose on any night (especially on the road), we’ve been pretty consistent to this point. Admiral and Grant seem to be great locker room leaders, and don’t seem interested in taking a night off. The rest of the team seems to feed off their intensity.

I saw a few people saying “Oh well, if Duke has a bad shooting night they can be beaten!” Well, no shit. What team can’t be beaten on a bad shooting night?
It is like saying "if Duke doesn't defend well, they can be beaten." Water is wet, right?

Just think, the talking heads who spew this stuff are getting paid 6 to 7 figures to say this stuff.

Our identity is defense the rest is a work in progress.

Surprisingly, my squad seems markedly better this year despite losing Jaren Jackson Jr and Miles Bridges to the NBA Draft. Much better team basketball thus far. Just need to get Langford back from injury ASAP and stay healthy the rest of the way.

So far, it seems that UM and MSU are on a different tier from the rest of the Big Ten. UM seems to be able to turn it on when they need to (last night against Indiana) following a couple of ho-hum performances. As of now, I'd give the edge to UM for the regular season title, especially considering they avoid road trips to West Lafayette and Columbus.

I would not put MSU on the same tier as Michigan. They look to be a definite step below from what I've seen. Great backcourt, but not impressed with the guys up front.

You don't like Nick Ward or Xavier Tillman? Obviously, you're entitled to your opinion but Ward is a beast and Tillman is much improved this year.

no, I don't. Ward has been an underachiever his entire career. I do like that he lost some weight this year, but he has been unimpressive in the games I've watched. Don't see much from Tilman and Goins is terrible. Michigan front court much more impressive, at least from a non-homer perspective such as mine.

I’m not surprised. The last few years it seemed like MSU played like a collection of talent, not a team. This year I see a team.

I think that relying on 1 and dones, works only for a few coaches that can stockpile them every year. I think Izzo coaches better with guys that actually want to be in school.
