When half your league is in the top 14

Arguing anything about the RPI is pointless. It’s a worthless system, even more so when there’s only been 3-4 games played.

But I don’t know why you keep bringing the ACC into this? Where did I mention anything about the ACC being better? Heck, I didn’t include UT’s win over UNC for a reason. We don’t know if UNC is any good yet.
Clearly you cannot contribute to the discussion because you're a fan of an ACC team, make sense?

The Big12 and B1g are both really good, hard to differentiate imo.

I think Baylor, wvu, Texas, and Kansas are all legit. Not so sure on ttexh yet but recent history has shown they will be good.

I think iowa, Illinois, sparty, Rutgers, wisky are all legit as well.

Shoulda swapped the acc/b1g and big12/sec challenges to a big12/b1g and acc/sec challenge.

In all seriousness, UNC is the team that I feel would give us the best game in the conference right now, at least attacking our defense, but I don't think they are going to end up being one of the 2 or 3 best records in conference this year. Kind of strange.

I am conflicted about how I feel about Syracuse. They look to have found themselves again, but BC might also be not nearly as good as their close game against Villanova suggested. Routed by florida and cuse so we will see how it shakes out.

In BCs defense I bet them against Florida and Cuse and against BC vs Nova.

Not even sure who the power teams in the ACC are yet. Is it UVA, FSU, SU, UL?? Or as we get deeper in the season will UNC, Duke, improve and reassert themselves. I don’t know.
No argument that the tops of BIG and Big 12 are better now.

Fair

We are already in conference play.
So that doesn't really matter anymore.

Majority of these teams will keep their ranking. If not it will help other teams in the conference
Sure it does....Normally, we are 9, 10 or 11 games in---But this ain't normal. Only playing 6 or 7 games in the OOC still keeps KenPom a little misleading....Unles of course you think Indiana is a Top 15 team---I don't.

How?

If these teams are overrated it will be Big 12 teams that expose them.
So ultimately it will be the Big 12 rewarded

Just one of the facts of this season.

It was well known even before this season the Big 12 was tough

Baylor and Kansas were Top 5 teams last year.
Kansas is always there. Baylor returned everyone pretty much.

But the teams that finished behind them.
Texas and WVU in particular brought a lot back so the idea was they were going to join KU and Baylor at the top

Tech is the question....

But even they will be a good team by the end of the year.

Hey that’s fair. Big 12 still has big wins as anyone. Big 10 got some nice wins over your league too and prob has more big wins than us. ACC is down this year.

Do we know that for sure about the ACC? Or are Duke and NC down? The 2nd day of the challenge ended with the Big 10 up 6-5. UVA and UL games were cancelled. Albeit beating MSU was a tall order for UVA.

Thread has the ACC homers triggered.

Caught all of them up in here

Why would ACC fans be triggered? It’s not like any of us are spouting off the acc as a great league this year or last. Clearly behind the Big12 and B1G.

Just don’t think the Big12 has 6 of the top 15 teams or whatever. Or that FSU or Illinois would finish in the bottom half of the big 12.

Who knows we will see how the tourney plays out. We would have won it all last year (at least final four) and Baylor would have been elite 8 or final four. We got robbed but is what it is and can say we finished #1 AP a la USC 2003 football ;). That was 110% our best team since our 2008 natty. At least 2011.

The Big 12 complexion has changed lately for the better.....

There was the old narrative a few years ago about always being conference RPi #1 then flaming out in the tourney in the middle part of the last decade. That ended when OU, KU and Tech went to consecutive final fours and put half our league in the sweet 16 back to back. Then the 4/8 elite 8 year 2018.

I’d rather not be #1 rpi and do better in the tourney which is now happening as the league has gotten deeper but also stronger at the top. The latter is key. Tech’s emergence with Beard, Baylor going to another level lately and Texas finally getting back up there all help.

OU will find another buddy hield and make another top 5 run again as they do every few years.

Its way to early to know who's who, I realize you love to debate on this message board but ease up a tad. Also UT probably could beat Sam Houston by 100 if you didnt factor in Shaka running the show.

We aren't going to know who is who because rest of the way is conference play pretty much.

As of right now each conference has already established themselves.

So if a team like Texas fails. Other Big 12 teams will be rewarded.
You would be an idiot to doubt Shaka. If Shaka has his team and plays the way he wants they will be a tough out.

But what excuse would Shaka have to not have his team in year 6?

Not on the coach...

On the players. If you ever played basketball you would know this
Sometimes it is hard to play for certain coaches because of what they expect.

Some players are used to being on the court and doing their thing. Especially Coleman and Ramey because they grew under their fathers.

But if they play how Shaka wants they should win a lot of games.

Tech messing things up as usual.

Now half the league in the Top 15
Try to keep up in Lubbock. I know you are behind the times there being so far off the grid.

You still don't think McBride will make any of the Big 12 teams?
Currently 9th in scoring.
12th in fg%
4th in steals
7th in assists.
3rd in assist/turnover ratio

I actually think these numbers will improve, as he tends to play better in bigger games.

If you put three guards on the first team
Butler
Garrett
Cunningham ..

McBride will be one of the others considered on the second

Mitchell
Teague
Coleman
Ramey
McClung

Lol at OP, in a thread boasting about the greatness of the big12, putting Oklahoma in the bottom four when they might be the second best team in the league.

Just shows Even the big12 fans don’t really know what’s what beyond the fact that Baylor is the best team and really really good. Just a crazy year.

My team plays in the acc and I lost a small ransom yesterday betting on FSU and UVA so I’m not saying I have a clue either. Just a crazy year.

Gonzaga and Baylor are a step above. I’m not seeing a huge difference in everyone else.

He'd be around if Kansas and the Big 12 were as good as he thought they were when he made the thread. Kind of proves my point.

Not really.

KU was on an 8-game winning streak when this dude disappeared. This dude who barely posted here to begin with.
