Anything but a 16 seed and I'll deal with it.

Think it would be more of a smack in the face nationally. UVA is better this year than last
I just don't understand how people can definitively say they're better this year than a team that went 17-1 in the ACC last year and had only lost 2 games entering the NCAA tournament.
Because people use eye test more than results when evaluating a team. Same reason people think Duke is better than Gonzaga despite losing to them at full strength when Gonzaga was without Tillie. I also think you can be better without having better results. ACC is probably tougher this year than last year.
Offense is much better and defense is extremely good and one of the top in the country regardless of it being slightly worse than last years.
