What happened to Tennessee fans?

For all your talk about FF's, it has been ages since y'all have sniffed one. If your former selves could see what y'all have been reduced to I'm sure it would turn their stomachs. The only left of UK is her arrogance.
Not at all. We expect final fours and titles but we know it’s not happening every year and we also know how hard it is to win them. So we have high expectations every year? Sure but we also know chances of winning it isn’t very high. The year the NCAA was cancelled we had a really good guard oriented team and although I can’t say forsure I think that team makes a deep deep run. UT fans have a good year or two and all the sudden they think they’re the kings of college basketball.

I will say this for KU, you can beat them hell out of them early, but they are a tough out later in the season.

That Bahamas team had two legit NBA players (Buddy Hield and Eric Gordon), and KU was playing without their most talented player. Plus experimenting with lineups and playing guys who won't sniff the court during the year.

Hilarious to see a Kentucky fan gloating about narrowly losing to NBA guys, after crowing about beating a bunch of midmajor players in Canada. But I expected nothing less. 😂

Didn't say a word, did I? Just found it amusing. Almost as amusing as your litany of excuses.

It's called context. They faced two NBA vets with career averages of 16 ppg, without two of KU's top talents. They also beat the same team a few days earlier and Hield played in that game too.

Meanwhile, you guys celebrated beating players from Long Island Univ and Maine. 🤣

You took an L, regardless. The all big and mighty KU should be better than that.

You know, maybe if you don't incessantly stick your nose in all things UK so much, maybe you won't get punched when your team gets embarrassed like this.

A short-handed roster went toe to toe with NBA guys and should be embarrassed that it slipped away in the last few minutes. Good stuff. 🤣

Btw, I would barely pay attention to Kentucky at this point if you weren't shit-talking attention whores. Ever think of that? At any given moment, Rafters has 3-4 threads about KU on the first page. Your fanbase has its reputation for a reason. Insecurities abound.

The excuses continue.

So you bring the angst you're obviously saddled with from RR over here? Pretty lame. 99% of all your posts are either in a UK-related thread or about UK. You really need to look in the mirror to see where the obsession lies.

KU is kinda low on the totem pole as far as I'm concerned.... until the game against UK. Other than that, meh.

Well, they've been better than your program by any metric over the last 4 decades. But I realize you guys think that games from the 40s are somehow relevant to Calipari and Bill Self.

99% eh? Probably more like 5%. Have you ever considered the number of Kentucky posters and attention-seeking threads/posts? I guess we could all start ignoring everything Kentucky-related but that would just lead to more attention whoring and shit-posting.

....your stellar 11-24 record vs UK really backs up your nonsensical statement.

You don't have to spew your daily bullshit in every UK-related thread or conversation. BUT... you do. You're making that choice and posts like the one above just make you look stupid.

Nothing stupid about it. KU has a winning record vs Kentucky during that timeframe. Tied in titles, more final fours, huge advantage in wins, etc. What's stupid is pretending that games from 50+ years ago have any bearing on Calipari vs Self.

What are all these obsessive posts I've made lately? You mean in the KU thread? Which was created by a Kentucky fan for the sole purpose of talking shit, in which 7 of the first 8 posts were made by Kentucky fans? Tell me more about obsession. 🤣 😆

Maybe you're not aware, but Rupp won't be on the sideline when you play KU in a few months.

You guys love to beat your chests over subjective all-time rankings, but you're not so quick to bring up all-time stats. Why not? No talk about all-time championship totals? All-time final fours? All time conference titles? All-time wins?

And no comment on your fanbase's obsession with KU? Shocker. 😆

Don't need Rupp. 24-11... more than Rupp have beaten KU while coaching @UK. Why would I need to talk titles w/you? UK has more than KU does unless you're counting those bread titles. 8-4 UK if you're not. 17-16 UK in Final fours.

All time wins might be the only category you've listed where KU has the edge.

Seriously... KU just is not that important... at least to this UK fan.

Unlike you and your bitter pals, I can honestly say that Kentucky's not very important these days. Your most relevant team in 5 years was a team that lost to Evansville, Utah and South Carolina, and finished with a #29 Kenpom rating.

The point wasn't to compare KU/Kentucky in all those categories. The point is that you guys love to beat your little chests and proclaim "We're #1!!" at every opportunity, despite being #1 at almost nothing. And that's referring to all time stats. If we're looking at the last several years, you'd be lucky to be in the top 25.

Since this thread was penned by Lurker a UK fan, UT lives in his head. On second thought, I would imagine a lot of things live in Lurker's head, so never mind.
All y'all live in my head. Stats live in y'alls bhole.

.....again...caveat-laden arguments are the weakest.

.....again...caveat-laden arguments are the weakest.

What's weak is changing your argument based on who you're talking to. When talking to a KU fan, all you care about is all-time numbers and specifically nat'l championships. If a UCLA fan walks into the room, all of a sudden nat'l championships aren't as important. When talking to a Louisville fan, you'll jab at their recent struggles, and when talking to an Indiana fan, you'll say they're irrelevant due to a lack of recent success, despite the fact that they (and Louisville) still rank highly all-time. And of course, you guys loved timeframing back when Calipari led the country in wins (or whatever it was) during his UK tenure.

You have to be talking about someone else. Facts and stats are on my side.... I don't have to modify anything. UCLA fans own the title count... no way around that. Is what it is and I've always recognized that. U6 can be made fun of for far more than their recent struggles. IU has their 5 titles and their spot in the Top 10 programs. In talking about Cal, it can only be about the time since he's been the coach at UK. Not sure what the hell else you want as far as that goes....oh wait, it must be so you can talk about the time Self beat him for the title when he was at Memphis.

Comparing numbers from the Calipari era is timeframing. If a KU fan compared numbers from the Self era, you'd launch into your "when you timeframe, you've already lost" bit.

I know that you're the one who described Indiana as "IrrelevantU," which contradicts the idea that only all-time numbers matter. Clearly, Indiana isn't irrelevant in the all-time discussion. And harping on recent Louisville seasons is no different than a KU fan harping on recent UK seasons.

Some would argue IU was a better all-time team until late Knight years

"IUsedtobegood" was my nickname for IU. Considering they're a rival, it shouldn't surprise you if a UK fan mocks them. It still doesn't take away from their all-time standing in college hoops.

As far as U6, I throw all-time stuff in their faces at every opportunity. UK owns them in hoops (38-17) and has the lead in the football series, which includes 5 straight beatdowns. I certainly don't have to refer to just recent stuff when it comes to bashing U6.

Timeframing... ironic coming from you. Cal has been at UK since the 2009-2010 season.

Nothing ironic about it. I was pointing out the hypocrisy. I have no problem with timeframing as long as it's not an arbitrary cherry-picked period. It makes sense to compare numbers from the modern era, or a person's lifetime, or the current coach's tenure, this millennium, etc...as opposed to pretending that games from 70 years ago (when it was almost a different sport) have anything to do with what's happening now.

How many different decades, and coaches have won championships at KU?

side note just heard some rip-a-sick burnout

The four before were by one coach over two decades. And then.

Yeah, that's what I just said. The point was that you guys don't either, as long as it's convenient for your argument.

Using your logic, Yale is an incredible football program that should fear no one. Most titles of all time!!

Weird seeing a KU fan switch to football.

Why? I realize why you guys don't like the analogy, but the sport doesn't matter.

But if you want a basketball example, substitute UCLA for Yale. Circa 2016, when they were 15-17 under Alford. "We fear no one this year because we have way more titles than you!!!"

That tiny sample fails to overcome all of what UCLA has to brag about.
