Your aspersions towards KenPom and other advanced metrics say more about you, than anything.

Ken Pomeroy is kinda like the wizard in the wizard of Oz for a Duke fan. I can visualize them skipping on their merry way to the Emerald city.

But, instead of getting back to Kansas, they are shooting for Durham.

I think you have the roles reversed here. We understand the uses of advanced metrics, as well as their limitations. They just seem to go over your head and you call them wizardry.

There were multiple Duke fans saying this? Enough to generalize? I think most were pointing to the injuries as the reason for it not being a bad loss.

Depends which player(s). Duke was missing Tre Jones and Reddish. Missing Jones is at least the equivalent of Tennessee being without Bone. Not sure who Reddish would be equal to on Tennessee. Was Tennessee missing players as important as Jones and Reddish?

Yeah not sure which one goes further but right now LSU is tied for 1st in the SEC and UK isn't.

For the last 62 years the future and past in SEC basketball has been the same.

I remember Mississippi State being good for a few years, same with LSU, Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee and now Tennessee again.

The SEC was formed the winter of 1932. Kentucky has won 49 regular SEC Championships, nearly 5 times the total of the programs that have won the 2nd most, Louisiana State University and the University of Tennessee, who have each won 10.

Kentucky has won 31 SEC Tournament championships out of the 58 held. Alabama has won 6 while Florida and Tennessee has won 4 each.

So please don't start this crap all over again. I remember back a decade ago from the Florida faithful telling us that they had replaced Kentucky. I remember the advent of Arkansas owing the SEC. Well it did not happen.

No accolades needed for UK and everyone knows why they are labeled as "the" SEC BB school. 2nd really isn't very close at all.
