Think I have UNC by 4 at home. They've been in an awful funk and look to be coming alive again. Duke has struggled on the road all year. The two teams have shown flashes of greatness and ineptitude. Duke will play a lot of zone.

UNC 93
Duke 89

*I also wouldn't be surprised to see Duke win by 30.

UNC doesn't have the inside to match with Duke. UNC also struggles with guarding the three, which isn't as big of a deal with this team.

Also Duke has it's worst losses on the road and UNC has seem to have them at home so I guess that's a toss up.

I'm going with Duke > Wofford.

I am still a Roy fan because I am thankful for his years at KU. Duke on the other hand has everything going for it as a program. And with all of that seems to get too many "breaks" in big games. Roy has really aged but K still has a "ferret face."

Basically, you posted in this thread just to insult Duke and Coach K because you didn’t say anything about the game on Thursday.

I think Duke romps. That loss at St. John's was not a good thing for UNC. A week with the coaching staff after a horrifying loss, and then a rival in one of the biggest games of the year?

Duke 88
UNC 72.

Don't help off 3 point shooters so much for UNC. Bagley is gonna get his no matter what so don't let him getting 25-30 points discourage you. Don't let Allen and Trent beat you from outside. UNC is gonna have to hit shots from the perimeter and I feel like they need to hit at least 85 + on the score board to win this game.

UNC isn't going to get much inside off the drive or from the bigs (except for maybe Pinson). Just have to make shots. I don't think they make enough though and their defense is terrible so I think Duke wins. Hope I'm wrong.

This.

We are coming off a cake walk against the worst team in ACC history in recent memory. Duke coming off a no show.

Duke 91
UNC 82

Duke is very capable of losing this game. But as already stated, I think St Johns ruined unc's chances. Allen will look like the old Allen on Thursday then will probably go back to this year's Allen until the rematch.

So he's gonna trip someone?

Duke will score at will down low and win by double digits

So Berry is going to teach the team pack line defense this week and usurp Roy's defensive system? Unlikely. Plus Duke shot like 48% that game with an abysmal first half. Duke's issues are turnovers, defense, and free throw shooting... Doesn't really matter what the other team does defensively Duke will score.

Of course it matters what the other team does defensively.

Don’t agree with that analogy. Had Duke won Saturday they still would of been hyped for this game. This is the best rivalry in CBB, if you need extra motivation for this one then you shouldn’t even suit up.

More than 99 percent of players, I suppose.

And it certainly seemed to be his best... without him, no 2015 National Championship.

In retrospect, he should have left after that game. He was a late lotto pick coming off that performance.

Hindsight though.

He was never in the lottery, after his sophomore year he was projected first round but not lottery. If all players that were projected in the first round actually left I don't think UNC goes to back to back championship games. I believe Paige, Hicks, and Jackson all came back after being projected first round picks at some point in their career. I might be wrong on that, not sure how to check.

Yeah, I'm not saying they wouldn't be hyped. Just that they will have extra purpose in that game. I feel like they should have already opened their eyes after their first two losses, but the St Johns game probably ignited a fire. Ir at least it should have. Guess we will see what kind of backbone this team actually has. I would like to see Allen run the point in this one. A message needs to be sent to Duvowel. He ends up with decent stats in games, but he turns the ball over way too much early in games and is a FT liability at the end of games.

LOVE MY UNC TARHEELS

!!!!!!!!!!!! GO TAR HEELS !!!!!!!!!!!!

WHIP THAT duke DONKEY

ps...don't you just love it

Trying to hold Duvowel back?

The 3 you mentioned weren’t projected to go in the first round. Brice Johnson was a senior and he went late first round. Meeks, Berry and Jackson stayed which led to a title and Jackson getting picked in the lottery.

I could have sworn Paige was projected first round after his sophomore season. I just assumed at some point Jackson and Hicks were given their skill set.

He could sit the rest of the season and still be drafted first round due to his freak athleticism and potential. He has no outside shot and makes some pretty poor decisions with the ball which can be developed in the NBA or D league but is detrimental to the success of this Duke team. I don't want to see Allen running point despite the fact that the team seems to be more successful when he does, would rather Duval get his shit together and Goldwire give him some rest so that Allen and Trent can play off the ball.

Paige had a good year but he wasn’t never projected a first round pick. I think he weighed around 170 in his sophomore season.

Putting money on UNC money line.

He's at his best in National Championship games.

So his best days are behind him? Got it.

Edit to add: looks like I went from being to post about once an hour to being unable to post even after a full 24 hours. What's the deal Rivals? I'm not that terrible of a poster. @Kevin Bryan
