your closet, most likely......
There's a similar page on the CFB board, so I figured I'd liven up the discussion around here.

What are some of the untouchable records, IYO, that are out there in college basketball?

I'll even start with one that's not an NCAA record, but  is a B10 record.

The 1969-1970 Iowa Hawkeyes averaged 102.9 ppg in B10 conference play.

That has not and will not ever happen again.

And ftr, this was WELL before the 3 pt line era................

Bobby Hurley's 1,076 assists
Laettner's 407 points scored in the NCAAT

I think these are safe because no one good enough to break them will play for 4 years again, let alone make it to 3 or 4 final fours.
On the Hurley assist record, Braden Smith has 758 and had 313 last year (and 292 the year before). With the same number of games, he only needs to increase his average by 0.1 to break Hurley's record in his 4th season.

Ultimately tho, I think all career totals records will be broken because I think guys will end up getting 5 years. The records that will likely never be broken are the averages, like Pete Maravich's ridiculous 44.2 career scoring average or Artis Gilmore's 22.7 career rebound average.
