I think Mark Crean was a solid hire, Kentucky should be in the 8/9 matchup on their better seasons.
It certainly could be a rough 2025 in Lexington next season. Pope isn't THAT bad of a choice----but certainly an unexpected one for THAT job. My guess is he was at best, option 4?

Yeah, that was to be expected. Evolving includes eliminating. Those recruits’ talent was impressive, but if they have to go to flush out the old regime so be it. Part of the healing.

Depends on who's reports you trust. Apparently it went Drew - Hurley - Pope. However, if Barnhardt had simply followed his instincts Pope would have been the top of the list, but he felt obligated to at least try and get an established name.
