Tyrese Proctor

I told @dukedevilz all season he was a liability. It would of stuck out more if duke had played a harder schedule
Makes some wonder if playing close games in conference helps. Jon is still young, he'll learn and be around for a while. As a Duke fan, can't complain too much. Only losses were to UK, KU, Clemson and Houston.

Proctor gave a performance consistent with his time at Duke when looking at the inconsistent trends of his play, not sure he choked. I’d be thrilled to have him back, obviously, but he is what he is.

Jawand Roberts marching to the opposite free throw line right after Proctor's miss and knocking down both of his made Proctor look soooo much worse. Ouch

He averaged 12 points and 3 rebounds against the weak competition, yet he had 12 points and 5 rebounds against Auburn. Was Auburn about average for a typical ACC schedule? Lol

You insinuated that his stats were inflated because of his schedule, yet he was a little above his average against auburn. That is a fact!!

Btw, Broome is a big douche!
I didnt insinuate that at all. I am saying duke has a team was inflated a bit due to the overall schedule they played. LoL at the shot you were talking ahead of the tourney as well. Lousiville got to play a home game basically and shit the bed

Duke would’ve been in the final game tomorrow if they were paired with Auburn instead of Houston.

Definitely a choke job.

Outscored 9-0 in the final minute... other part I look back on is we had a 14 point lead with 8+ minutes left (59-45, IIRC). Houston hits a three - and Gillis got a flagrant for extending his arm in the face of a Houston big (Francis?). They got a free throw, plus another field goal. So between the final minute of play and that 6-0 spurt, we lost 15 points in about 1 minute of action. Yikes. Feel like we were the better team, but yeah, choke job.

Knueppel used an unnecessary pump fake when he had a clear cut layup with about 40 seconds left. I get it, though. Tugler was trailing him (Tugler is 6th in the nation in block rate). If he makes that, we go up 69-61 and the game would have been effectively over.

Didn't like the foul call on Flagg with 19 seconds left, but I can't complain too much. Roberts knocked the ball out and Houston would have recovered the rebound anyway. We had our chances and they slipped away. Houston is a tough team and credit to them for fighting all the way through. March be crazy!

As far as Proctor, yeah, I honestly don't know why he didn't pass the ball up. Had plenty of space to pass to a teammate. He was literally the only sub-70% FT shooter on the court when that foul occurred. At the same time, he's a guy confident guy. And you don't want your players attacking things with a scared mentality.

Seeing a lot of Duke fans rake this kid and the ref who made the over the back call pretty bad on twitter and here I was thinking only UK fans did this.🤣😳

it was a questionable call, but it wasn't worse than the 3-4 awful calls that went against Florida in the final 5 minutes of their game vs Auburn.
From the angle that the ref who made the call had it prolly did look like it was over the back. Would I have called it? No prolly not but fans either want refs to make calls or not. Either way you can’t blame the ref when your team couldn’t make a shot. Give Houston credit, they played good D down the stretch.
