Texas getting plowed and Holmgren didn't even do anything the first half. WOOF. Someone put @SheriffBufordTJustice on suicide watch, especially since Kansas just beat 31-point favorite Texas on the road for their first conference win in the last 20 tries. 😆

Man-----Are the Zags better this year? When Hickman and Sallis grow.....Bolton, ISU transfer is solid.... Nembhard is solid...Timme's a monster.

This is finally their year! ~Gonzaga fans every year (I do think they will win it this year though).
I love the Zags. I think its silly to label a coach/program on titles.

Zags have been to 6 straight SW 16's.....4 elite 8's and have two runner-ups---in the past 6 full seasons. Had 2019-20 not been cancelled, they likely extend that streak.
Havent lost in the 1st round since 2008-----Even thought they have been a 7 seed or worse , 6times in that span.
Folks just need to accept that Gonzaga is really, really good----and a really good program.
Oh no doubt, I am not denying any of that. Don't think they would be racking up #1 seeds every year in a major conference though. They might now that they are bringing in insane talent, but not in the past.

Looks like Sheriff’s over the top hype of the basketball team was off the mark yet again. It’s not hard to see why Beard threw a tantrum when Adams wouldn’t join him at Texas.

Fair....BUT.....Gonzaga under Few have been to an Elite 8 and 4 SW16's as a 4 seed or worse--- 5 times: 4 of those times has a 10 seed or worse. Haven't lost in the 1st round since 2008. Six times in that span, tjhey have been a 7 seed or worse.
Few wins, period. Would they be 32-2 ever year if they played in a P5 conference---No. But they would be a top 3 team, easily---abd would comepte for at worse a 2/3 seed. The past 7 years, they have been elite. And would compete in any P5 conference.
Its early, And i suspect TX will get better. They were w/o Dylan Disu. Lot of transfers. But GU made them look really bad.
I remember when Gonzaga first burst on the scene as a Cinderella waaaay back at the end of the century in Monson's last season before Few took over. Now they're a juggernaut and haven't looked back since.
Few is due....If Sallis/Kickman come along, man a re they gonna be nasty. Holmgren/Timme are just monsters. Nembhard/Bolton(15ppg at ISU), are a solid b/c. Could possibly be as good as last year.
It's possible. They lost key cogs like Kispert, Suggs, and Ayayi but also retained Timme and Nembhard and added great players like Bolton, Holmgren, Sallis, and Hickman. There isn't a more skilled offensive frontcourt in basketball. It's not even close, really. Timme and Holmgren will dominate anyone and Holmgren is the rim protector they need, too. Give the younger guards some time to get up to speed and they could definitely have the potential to be as good as or better than they were last year, imo. Nembhard offers that veteran leadership that will help Sallis and Hickman in a lot of ways.

That's funny...but why is everyone lumping Oklahoma in with Texas? They've actually been good.
They included all the SEC teams that lost this week and just decided to lump Oklahoma and Texas in there too for shits and giggles. They have been good, although they had played a really soft schedule prior to being exposed by Baylor.
