Jeff Goodman got those sources on lockdown! Guess Haggerty to Ole Miss isn't going to happen lol.

I feel like people in the know give him bad information just to mess with him and laugh behind his back.

Will wade will be a strong ass problem in the ACC.

Absolutely. If they land Haggerty, they're a borderline top 25 team. I could see them being a program that is consistently in the top 4 of the ACC.
Unsatisfied with his role and playing time at Michigan State, Tre Holloman transferred to become the starting point guard for another program, NC STATE, a decision he may now regret.

Any word on where Duke stands w/ Dame Sarr? "Insiders" think KU's positioned well to land him, and he's in Lawrence on a visit right now. But Duke people apparently think he prefers Duke and is waiting to see what happens with Coward.

If he ends up at KU, they might have three first rounders for the first time ever.

No way can we have Evans, Coward, and Sarr. All 3 of those guys expect starter minutes. If Coward stays in the draft, then we could be a little more aggressive with Sarr. But, I suspect he is a Kansas lean either way.

I've heard Duke has also reached out to Desmond Claude, and he may be seen as a potential backup plan should Coward go pro. But yeah, I think Kansas will ultimately land Sarr.

Oh man Malik Thomas got his waiver and UVA is listed as a heavy favorite. If we land him and De Ridder, I’m stoked for next year’s roster. I think we’re a tourney team and could compete for top 4 ACC in year 1

Just landed Malik Thomas. Ryan Odom is crushing it so far. Thoughts on UVA’s roster for next season @dukedevilz?

I think the Vols have done a pretty good job in the portal.

A lot to be excited about. On paper alone, looks immensely better than last season - even before Jalen Warley departed. This should be a tournament team. Not sure if that's a 4 seed - or a 10 seed. But, plenty of talent on this team.

Malik Thomas should be the go-to scorer. He can create his own shot, he's a good shooter, and he also has a great mid-range game, as well. I think he'll be a top 10 player in the ACC, with the potential to make 1st Team... Thijs de Ridder looks good on film. I think he's the second most promising prospect for UVA. Fluid athlete, can stretch the floor, and he played really, really well in the FIBA U20 championships for Belgium. Grunloh can also stretch the floor. Gotta imagine UVA will be playing a lot of 5-out offense with de Ridder and Grunloh at the 4 and 5. Glad you don't have to start Onyenso. Outside of shot blocking, he doesn't offer much.

Jacari White, Sam Lewis, and Devin Tillis were all league performers in their respective conferences. I think it's reasonable to believe all 3 are capable of averaging close to double-figures (won't be all 3, but maybe 2 of the 3). I can see Jacari White being a solid 12-13 ppg scorer. A quality guard who can handle ball-handling duties when needed - but also play off the ball. Then you have Dallin Hall. He can beat his man off the dribble, but he seemed to be a little more tentative this past season. I like him in PnR offense. He does really well there. Also has really good ball control; he doesn't cough up too many unforced turnovers... Not sure how this team will perform defensively, though. That can always hold a team back. But, Odom did have 2 top 40 defensive squads in his 2 years at VCU, so that's a good sign.

As far as the ACC, I think Duke and Louisville might be a notch above the rest. But, I'd have UVA right there in the same tier as UNC and NC State (assuming Haggerty commits). Clemson, Notre Dame, SMU, Syracuse and Miami are close to that second tier, as well.

I'm obviously biased but I think he's become one of the best quotes in the sport.

That's a pretty terrible quote. Gets defensive about an idiotic opinion and responds with a far more idiotic opinion.

Tweeters should be forced to take quizzes on knowledge and be put on probation for 3 mo if they tweet something that some fool arbitrarily deems moronic? Is he always this much of a jackass?

I remember when the Biden admin was exposed for pressuring social media companies to censor Covid/vax "misinformation" that was factual. We should definitely let Big Tech/gov't shitheads arbitrarily decide what we can get away with posting. Good call there, Paint ol' boy.

Granted, he's going to get his wish soon enough anyway.

Sounds more and more like Cedric Coward is going to stay in the draft.

Not sure if Duke is contacting anyone significant outside of Desmond Claude, who's okay, but he's not a #2 guy for a title contender.

Feel like we lost steam on Dame Sarr a while back and he'll likely commit to Kansas soon. So, Idk. Maybe get a re-class kid or bring in an international prospect.

Some of the KU insiders are very confident Sarr will commit soon. I'm liking this roster.

Will Duke pivot to Williams? I'm guessing he'll eventually pull out of the draft.

Edit: I'm now hearing there was a sudden shift and Duke might steal him away. Son of a bitch.

I also thought Sarr was going to commit this week. But we're now hearing Coward is unlikely to withdraw now; very likely will go in the 1st Round... and now it appears Duke has prioritized Sarr as their #1 target.

Doesn't mean Duke will land Sarr... but, it's not a clear run away like it was believed to be earlier.

Edit: Wow... things change quickly. Sounds like Duke is actually leading the race for Sarr. And now Gonzaga and Washington might be in the lead for Desmond Claude - since Duke would put Claude as a backup option.

If Kansas loses out on Sarr, I'd say there's a good chance they land Darrion Williams. D5 ain't a first round pick; he'll make more money coming back to school.

If Williams pulls out, KU probably has a good shot at him, but I preferred Sarr.

The reality of today's recruiting landscape is Duke takes whoever they want.

Darrion Williams to NC State

Woo, needed him badly.
Congrats. He is a difference maker. He has the clutch gene and will take over games when needed. I really really wish he had come back to Tech but we had already replaced him with a similar type player.

Good luck to you guys. I will be routing for him.

I thought the word was Williams was KU bound??

Is KU going to be any good next year? I feel like I haven't heard them doing much in the portal. Who's on your roster besides Peterson and Bidunga @ExitFlagger ?

Williams was in Lawrence a few hours after withdrawing from the draft, so a lot of people assumed he was KU-bound. Of course, it's mostly about money and apparently Will Wade came up with more. Not too surprising since KU has a lot invested in Peterson and Bidunga, and NC St didn't have any super expensive guys on the roster. They apparently threw an obscene sum at him.

Losing two major gets at a position of need in the span of a week is a gut punch. Dame Sarr allegedly committed to KU twice, and backed out a second time after Duke swooped in with an insane offer. The reality is KU's budget is somewhat limited because donors are building a football stadium. They have money but not top tier money right now.

Some KU fans are bitching and moaning about the state of the roster, but I like what they've done so far. Much more versatility and athleticism than the last few teams. They're probably a piece away though. Self has said as much.

They haven't made any huge splashes in the portal, but I think people are sleeping on these guys:
