The SEC is shaping up to be a tough Conference

Ah yes, of course UT peaked in November (since that's when they beat the absolute shit out of Louisville). 😂 Probably has nothing to do with playing better competition now.
UK could beat UT two more times this year (in both SEC and NCAA Tourney), be 4-0, and UL fans would still be crying about a Nov game in which they got annihilated by UT in an attempt to use that as some sort of "gotcha" to diminish UKs wins against UT. Quite comical.

Here's a thought, how about UL actually beats teams like UK and UT, then their fans don't have to come up with ridiculous scenarios to lessen the stench of their blowout loss while simultaneously trying to rationalize how UK could have beaten that same team twice. Or even better, just beat UK for once. Seems like an easy solution.

They shot 57%/53% against Louisville. ;)

Rocky: "Yeah, that's why I said they peaked in November."
They have hit 14-63 on 3’s against yall, middle school kids could do better than that. And before you say that you played good defense, you guys let them shoot. I will say that Pope definitely deserves credit for that line of thinking.

UK shot 50%/50% in both games against Tennessee's #1 defense. Louisville shot 27%/26%. 😂

Always shooting better plays a key role winning in winning. But Kentucky severly outscoring us from the 3 was the biggest difference last night. We played well in most of the other areas of the game

Unlike the first game where UT had many wide open looks, UK was more strategic in guarding the perimeter last night. Very few of Tennessee's shots were uncontested (especially in the 1st half), which is why Lanier was 0-7 from 3. Milicic made some tough ones against pressure but UK didn't have the length to contest him as well, particularly without Robinson in the lineup.

I am trying to understand why he is even in this thread

It’s always more fun when Kentucky wins for this board, they hide when they lose. 😉
I don't feel like that's accurate. The same people are here every day regardlesss.

The only dude in hiding right now, that is a regular, is Exitflagger.

As far as Tennessee's shooting, if it was just a 1 time thing, you would have a point, but it’s happened twice now and both games had different styles.

Tennessee didn’t have open looks last night, UK defended the 3 point line and gave them nothing.

I know the perception is that UK sucks defensively, but the last 2 games have been much different. They have defended much better than they're ranking.

When yall beat Tennessee the first time, every Kentucky fan on this board would respond to a post within a minute or two. When you guys lose, there will be hours without anyone posting on here. True story

Bellarmine would look good on defense against South Carolina, Tennessee went from launching 3’s to shooting contested 16 footers. Barnes always has a team that plays hard for him, but he’s not a great innovator on the offensive side of the game.

I’ve been giving you guys the business because that’s what I do, but it’s a good win for you guys. After all of the ACC bashing from AbVol, if we don’t lose any more players before the tournament, we’ll go farther than they will.

Yeah.....your record really supports that mindless drivel. Anyone of any 'quality' that U6 had played gave them an L, BLOCKHEAD. (with the exception of Georgia Tech. They beat U6 because U6 sucks.)

haven't bashed the ACC just Clemson. But outside of Duke and Louisville I don't think any of the teams have potential to go deep

Out of curiosity, what makes you think UL has the potential to go deep in March? What specifically have you seen out of them this year that you would point to and say, "there it is, that's why UL could make a deep run."

they can shoot it well but they could also have an early exit

They were two different games, so the narrative should be different. Game one UT chucked up 45 3's and missed a bunch of them. The second game was played completely different with UT shooting a respectable 42% from the field. I think y'all just had a good game. You hit a lot of contested 3s and drove inside, so that is just good on y'all. Our defense was guarding you pretty well and much better than other teams, but you hit for above your average despite that, again good on y'all.

The only problem with our defense running around with their hair on fire is that it is very hard to slow it down on offense and thus it leads to rushed shots. It is just the price we have to pay. I wouldn't trade it.

I love Rick Barnes. He is a great coach, a gentleman and a Christian. He has elevated our program to a consistent winner. He has us going to higher levels in post season consistently better than ever before. UK fans are gleeful that you upset UT twice in one season and you have every right to be. Before Barnes, y'all would have been ho hum, I remember those days. We dropped to 6th on KENPOM after the loss. I can live with that.
So we “just had a good game”?😂 Always throwing those little backhanded jabs in aren’t ya Lou Lou. We hit above our average?? Pretty sure we hit between 10 and 13 a game. How many did we have????

So now you keep tabs on UK posters? Obsessed much!😂 You care to explain what it’s like to be ate up with a team? There is a few posters on this board that like seeing UK lose more than they like seeing their own team win. It’s easy to spot those people.
