The SEC is shaping up to be a tough Conference

UK got rid of the problem, you won't win championships when your coach is prioritizing something else.
But lets not get it twisted, UK, during Cal's tenure, won more SEC regular season and tournament titles than everyone else.
But, with the transfer portal and NIL, it will be a turnstyle in the SEC, nobody is going to dominate and with the depth of the league growing each year and unbalanced scheduling, don't be surprised to see Missouri win it one year, Ole Miss win it the next and UK win the next.
I'm not sure we have ever seen a league this strong and deep, but I like where UK is at with Mark Pope and I wouldn't be surprised if they're back on top as early as next year.

The SEC is the strongest conference this year, but Kansas fans didn’t use it as an excuse when they have had the strongest conference. The SEC had some very favorable seeds last year, only three of the eight teams went to the second round. Auburn is the real deal when they are healthy, and Tennessee will be whenever they wake back up. The others are just going to be happy with being selected on selection Sunday.

The big 12 gamed the system for years, Brad Brownell called them out on that very thing last year, the league was GOOD all those years, because the middle and bottom were good, but none of them were title favorites, there was only one or two real title favorites each year.

The SEC this year has at least 5 teams that could win a title and the ones right behind those 5, could get to a FF.

Also, the BIG12 never dominated in the pre conference slate the way the SEC did this year.

Other than Auburn and Tennessee, name them please?

Auburn, UK, UT, Alabama and Florida.

I know you have obsessive hate for UK, but they are on everyone's list as a team that can win it all and if you were just watching college gameday, the title favorite percentages had UK and UT dead even. I'll take their figures over yours.

Missouri, Ole Miss, aTm and MSU can get to a FF. If freaking NC State, Miami and FAU can get to a FF, so can those teams.

Kentucky? lol Jeff, that’s some major homerism there. I guess Louisville should be in the group of select few that could win it then. No team has ever won the championship with Kentucky’s defensive numbers.

Find me a single betting site tgat says different.

Louisville is pretty far down the list. UK has the #2 offense in the country and they have more high end wins than most teams.

Again, I know this bothers you, but it’s true.

So you’re throwing good money on Kentucky and Florida? I would love to be your bookie if you don’t mind?
Who said I was betting money? I wouldn't bet money on any one single team in a one and done tournament.

But that's not the point, Vegas Insider and Fanduel didn’t get to where they are by putting out bad odds and they are the ones setting the odds, not me.

Again, find me a betting site that doesn't have UK in the top 10.

Just because you disagree with it, because you hate UK, doesn't mean it's not true.

I have officially passed the baton off to AuHoosier.

And Jeff, Kentucky has the 3rd ranked offense but 78th defense. That’s not good for more than a 2nd round exit.

thats not what I said. I said You wont dominate like you did historically
You don’t know that. Sometimes a good system and coach can reel off 3 or 4 dominant years in a row and the SEC isn’t always going to be this strong.

UVA dominated the ACC just a few years ago, Alabama football dominated the SEC when it was at it's peak and duke could end up dominating the ACC fir a while.

There's no way you can make that statement unless you came back from the future just now.

Oh good, the 78th ranked defense is actually an improvement, it was 84th.
Thank God it is only January.

UK just plsyed Alabama, Miss State and Florida, 3 elite offenses, all 3 games were high possession games, well, that's going to drop your defendive efficiency rating.

Oh, you really got me on that Offensive rating, UK has been swapping places with Alabama for 2nd and 3rd. Now that I know UK is ONLY the 3rd best team, yeah, maybe they shouldn't have such high odds to win (Lulz). You should call Fanduel and tell them. 😂

You guys make a great pair. Are you sure that's a baton? 👀
Took this pic of them passing the baton.

If Gainey plays and Broome is limited guessing playing more as a Decoy, I think the Vols keep it within 10

I feel like confodent in saying kentucky wont win 45 out of the next 60 sec tites

UK is regressing game by game. We probably need to get healthy but that's no excuse for how selfish everybody is playing on the offensive end. Ball just isn't moving like it was earlier in the season.
Yeah, I get Butler isn’t 100% and Carr was out, but this was a really bad bad effort and now they go to Tennessee to earn a nice fat 3 game losing streak.

I wasn't impressed with some of the things Pope did today.
