So if you heard a fan of a team (let’s say a Tennessee fan) say “making the final four means nothing if you get there and lose because you’re just the first loser” what would you say to them? They said making final fours was nothing special if you don’t win it. What’s your take on that?
Don't make your usual strawman argument. Obviously the further you go the better. However, Final Four is nothing but a step to a championship. Final 4 is better than what comes before it, but is lesser than anything that comes afterwards.

Like I said in another thread going into this game, making the Sweet 16 was beyond any expectations I had going into this season.
Factor in the all the injuries UK has endured this year at the most important positions in college basketball, it was a miracle Pope got this team full of last second transfers to the second weekend. The outcome of this game was not surprising to me in the slightest.
Wish UK could have had Robinson and Kriisa playing, or a healthier Butler and Carr, but it wasn't meant to be.
Even if UK had beat UT for a third time, they were not a threat to win a national title this year with all the guys out and hurt.
Excited to see what Pope will do with a full off-season to build a roster.

I kind of have that mindset to a degree but it's definitely an achievement for success and tough to do. Those stupid UConn fans are so lucky the way they winit all when they make it but it's not that easy. Like going to Omaha in baseball. I won't be on the moon if they get their first F4 and but I'd be happy. It's more so this Tennessee team is basically the 5th best team so if they lose to the 3rd to 4th best team in Houston in the E8 that's a fine finish relative to how good their team is
Exactly and that’s been my point about it. Making a final four is damn hard and is a pretty nice team accomplishment and for somebody to say “it’s nothing to make a final four” when their team never has it just blows my mind. 😂

We beat your ass twice this year with a depleted roster and you was favored in both of those games so last nights outcome wasn’t some big upset because guess what…..UT was favored again!
