***Sweet Sixteen/Elite Eight Thread***

I knew this soft ass Bama team wouldn’t give Duke a game. Houston/Tennessee should be a much better test for Duke
Here's the thing Bama does something a bit different and I could see them having a crazy game and pulling something something off vs Duke if they get hot. I'd have probably given them a better chance just for that reason. I don't like Tennesssee's chances vs Duke at all honestly. Think their bigs will be in foul trouble in no time. Houston I'm not so sure either, but I'd admit I've watched much less of them.

Sears just too small vs Duke.
If you go with Sears you'd need to go with more wings and not another small guard. I think they wanted to try and play faster and maybe catch Duke with speed, but their length makes up for everything. Plain and simple you HAVE to make the 3s in that style. They cant just go after the glass vs Duke.

It’s a shame Duke didn’t play a tougher schedule so they would be battle tested playing in that weak ACC had killed them
Man, the two games we played you guys, we got close here and there, but you guys always had the game in hand. Especially the ACC championship, I knew when we went up 5, you guys would come storming back. Sure enough, you did. Same with the first contest when Flagg played.

Congrats to Duke moving on to the final 4. They did it with some serious style points. No question they solidified themselves as the favorite with that performance.

I have a houseboat at Taylorsville lake. The guy in the boat beside me is a Cards fan. I told him the Cards would win twice as many games as last year. He said “you’re wrong”. Yep. I was! Won more than twice as many. I think Duke, Louisville and UK all hired the right coach

Congratulations to Alabama and the rest of the SEC on their tough schedule. I only care about conference performance, bad night for the ACC.

And Willard to Villanova.

Glad to see the traitor gone, but man is MD going to be terrible next season.

As I’ve said multiple times, we got a couple of breaks in the first half. Unfortunately, Houston got pretty much all of them late. It’s basketball. Officials aren’t perfect. That’s why I’d like to give coaches a couple of challenges a game to force the officials to look at clear mistakes. Tough to implement but we do it in other sports.
Replay is awful. Agree with you-'need challenges.

Good luck today Tennessee fans. This Purdue fan is pulling for you guys.

This has nothing to do with Houston. Simply being a Purdue fan that went through the lows of missing the final four for all those years, I’m hoping Tennessee gets the monkey off the back and gets to experience the fun of the final four run.

With that said, not sure how much I’m gonna watch this first to 50 hack fest.

Given the angst their fans still show on Twitter, I'm good with Tennessee losing by 50. Crazy how deep in their heads Purdue and Zach Edey are to this day.

You know if we would’ve beaten Houston their fanbase would’ve been super nervous about losing to us yet again haha.

Eddey won the game for you last year, but Vols are more pissed that our bigs couldn't even slow him down. If our bigs score 8 pts or slow him down and he only gets 32 pts, we win.

Vols respect Purdue as a program, but we think we would win this year.

IMO, Vols fans were pissed because they thought Edey was parked in the paint. I was at the game, and a Tennessee fan in front of me was ready to throw down with a Boilermaker fan next to me because of that. It was pretty funny.

I hope both teams sustain a lot of injuries.
In a fair world, Houston would advance to play Duke.

Then, in their FF matchup, Duke's best player would get hurt early in the first half just like Houston's best player got hurt against Duke early in the first half in last year's Sweet 16 matchup.

Now that would be fair...

One thing I learned during the Edey tenure is how shocking it is that so few fans know the NCAA rules regarding three seconds.
