Perfect fit. They’d own New York talent easily.

He certainly has the high moral standards to re-enter the Catholic school ranks. :D

I just can’t understand why anyone would hire him now. I loved Pitino at UK, didn’t necessarily mind him at UL, but after the mess that occurred during his watch, why would a school take that risk?

To take from Titanic, “When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose”

I thought he would have had a job last season, I would think an irrelevant midmajor that is trying as hard as they can to be relevant in sports like an FAU would love the buzz he would bring.

SJU I don’t think is that school, local media says Hurley is coming home, would probably do better than he did at ASU closer to his recruiting pipeline.

Because Catholicism teaches forgiveness as does all Christianity.

It would be an epic hire for the St. Johns but they'll go with the safer pick in Hurley. Too bad it didn't work out with Mullins. Wonder if the same thing happens to Georgetown with Ewing at some point in the future.

Would be a great hire, but “show cause”.
