So Lebron...

I don't really agree with what he does. I mean, this is about to be the second time he's left Cleveland in the dust. He goes to teams, hand picks who he wants to play with, and then bolts after it doesn't work out. LeBron is an all time great, but his act is getting pretty old.
Dude, CLE sucks. He wants to win as many as possible, it's not happening in Ohio.

He came back. He owes them nothing more than his contract. I'm for the players, not the fluff. That's all.

When he first went there they didn’t suck. When he first went to Miami they didn’t suck. Kyrie wanted out because of him. I don’t think he’s the victim in any of these situations. I guess it’s just how you look at it

You get the team he left won 66, then 61 games. This team sucks so bad they played in 3 straight Finals and might get to a 4th with their only losses to possibly the best team of all time.....once with their 2nd and 3rd best players missing nearly the entire series.

But never mind that.

They were pretty bad his first couple seasons here with guys like Wrong Way Ricky Davis and Darius Miles the first season.

Agree they were far from a bad team, though he did carry them bigtime. 66 and 61 wins with Mo Williams as the second best player. And that's why I think he's in the discussion with MJ as the GOAT.

Sorry, should have been more specific. When he first returned to Cleveland they weren’t a bad team. His first Cavs run, he had to do a lot more by himself.

What? ... Yes, they did. He drug that Cleveland team to the finals.

They sucked when he signed again, too. Don't know if you heard, they hit a couple no.1 draft picks in the years after he left......

I know you're a fan of Cle, I'm a fan of LBJ; you could have taken any star player from the west and plugged them into those CLE team(s), and minus James, they are not making it to the finals, imo (!).

Read my post responding to dt. I meant when he first came back to Cleveland.

Yea, agree to disagree. That team had plenty of talent on it, especially after getting Love.

Demands for IT and D-Wade. Now that they suck he demands they be traded.

Kinda pathetic TBH.
It's a happy ending for both. Wade returns to the team he belongs, and Lebron has a rebuilt squad ready to do battle.

I don't disagree, but the point is when players give effort around him the team will succeed. Those were lesser players and look what they did.

Sure, look at what they did ... with a young and spry LeBron.

The older that back gets, the greater the burden.
I'm a huge believer in prevention being the best medication.

I wish he's waive that no trade and gift CLE with a few draft picks to rebuild while he's out chasing rings.

If he never wins another title, will it still be a feel good story in Ohio? LeBron staying home?
Because, imo, it'd be a damn shame to have all that talent and be done winning 'ships at 32/3?
(I'm not sure how old he is)

As it stands (esp now), I do not believe he'll win another in a Cavs jersey, regardless of the number of years he remains.

Might not win another, but might be more about GS maybe being the best team ever. you get wherever you trade him they are most likely a contender and those picks are in the late 20s?

LeBron loves Believeland.

well now.....early returns say maybe time to re-evaluate Kyrie trade from Cleveland's end.

Kyrie, Shump, Frye and pick in 20s for Hill, Clarkson, Nance, Hood and pick in top 10.

In wnat was pretty much a practice for the Cavs and the new guys they put up 120+ on top defensive team in NBA.

wow

That was a scrimmage for the New Cavs. Bring on some competition! lol

I thought that game was gonna be really close. Just as. Complete walkover. Puts the Cavs as the favorites to win the East IMO. The team is so much better now that they got rid of the garbage and brought in younger more athletic guys who actually play defense and can flat out ball. Warriors still the favorite, though the Cavs are way better after the trades, that much is evident. Even LeBron looks re energized

Lebron is good but I can’t stand the dude. Biggest drama queen the NBA has ever seen.

The next 3 of 4 games are pretty tough.
@Oklahoma City
Washignton
San Antonio

Hoping that game wasn't just a fluke. We will find out pretty much right away if it was or wasn't. I want to see how the team responds to adversity which we should see this week.

Yep....same can be said for the Celtics, I guess, as well.

Truly amazing how you can get rid of "star" players like IT and suddenly become better. The Cavs looked like they are going to run rampant on the East after yesterday. That new GM of theirs should get a dang trophy.

I admit I lked the deal when it happened (IT coming here), but IT showed his true colors after his first game in LA. All he cared about was he played well.....in a loss.

He's out for a contract. Nothing more.

I don't think this helps the Cavs in the big picture, as in getting past Golden State, but they are certainly the favorites to get there again. Might even help keep LeBron here if they finish the season well.

Not so sure. Definitely hard to tell after one game, but if they keep playing like this? Let's not forget they were a Korver 3 from at least going 6 last season.

Here's what they have changed this season

OUT
Kyrie
DWilliams
James Jones
Dahntay Jones
Frye
Shumpert

IN
Hill
Clarkson
Nance
Hood
Green
Osman

Obviously, losing Kyrie hurts, but only on offense. And this team - with half a practice - just put up more points on the Cs - the #1 rated D - than they have allowed all season.

Their problem last year in the Finals was not scoring, it was defense. They now have far more versatile guys on that end. Don't know if he'd play a ton in a Finals' series, but loved the job Osman did on Kyrie yesterday. Could he do the same to Curry? Also think Nance and Green would be a big help on Durant over anything they had last season.

Isn't to say they are lock, IMO, to get back for a GS-Cavs 4.

Unless Hayward comes back and plays the post season, it honestly might be Toronto that is the Cavs biggest obstacle to the Warriors. DeRozan has REALLY stepped up his game this season. He's playing at an elite level. Still don't seeing them be enough to stop LBJ and his new squad.

Addition (Big time) by subtraction. Plus you get young, athletic, hungry kids, that adds up to a HUGE improvement.

I do think Toronto is an excellent team and still would not look past Boston with or without Hayward. He might hurt their defense though. I think they will soon regret that deal. He's a very good player, but a max player at $34 mil? Not so sure.

Exactly!! IT was all about IT and his contract. Never mind he can't guard me.

I think Lebron knew about these deals before the Minnesota game and it shows. They were all flying around yesterday.
I REALLY used to pull for IT. I'm not even a Cleveland or LBJ fan, far from it on most occasions. But he clearly had a negative effect on that team.

Was mostly from what I heard from the Boston fans here, but so did I. Same with Crowder. He was done in my eyes when Love fell and he stepped over him. Could not believe that.

Lebron has shown he does not need a superstar for his team to be successful. Many forget his team won 66 games with Mo Williams as the second best player. Why/how? Because they wanted the #1 seed.
