Should I or should I not start a Kansas is a wanna be Blue Blood thread.......or

This is a sad day . . . I remember when a good rustling thread would go on for pages. Names would be called. People would have to defend their mom and sister’s honor, people’s level of butthole abuse would be announced.

Nowadays . . . .? Apathy has taken over the world.

It takes effort to chant your battle cry in another's arena.

Man, I applaud you for at least trying. You’re doing the Lord’s work. It’s not even about KU . . . I just appreciate you trying to get some spark around here.

I miss the good ol’ days.

Like AC/DC said, it's a long way to the top, if you want to rock and roll

Kansas just learned that. They thought they were there, and we showed them they are not.

Biden's fault...

Purdue. That’s cute.

Takes a lot of luck to pile up titles. Probably would’ve had another in 2020.

Guess I could always become an Indiana fan. Must be way more fulfilling to break out 80s VHS tapes every March. 🤣
You have less titles than UConn. Won the title in 2008---none since---and none prior to that since 1988.

Speaking of the 80's... 8 of your 15 FF's came before 1988.

Kansas is a great, great program---Not arguing that. But lets not act as if you, well, that you have more titles than UConn...or that you are not tied with Villanova. IU has given you chance after chance to move up the title ladder----Quit ****ing it up vs Rhode Isalnd and No. Iowa, bro...

I really thought this would get it going, @hawkit3113 .

Guess not----welcome to the world Joey Biden has created.

Lol @ yall being surprised no jayhawk fans are showing up after that game. Id take a few days off as well. Least it aint been on repeat the last 5-6 years smdh

Cincinnati just pissed on the ashes of what is left of the state of Kansas soul, lolol

Kentucky/Cincinnati owns your shit state, you tumbleweeds, blahahahahahaha
This fool doesn’t even know what state the Chiefs are located in.🤣

You expect KU fans to bow down to a program that hasn’t been relevant for decades because they lost a few title games by one point each?

The difference between KU and Indiana in national titles is one point in 1953. Congrats. That one bucket in a game long before most of us were born makes up for decades of mediocrity.🤣

Slice the wheat bread as you wish----at the end of the day, its still wheat bread.

IU has sucked ass-----and yet still has more titles. YOu have less titles than UConn....tied with Villanova. Kansas is considered what they are b/c of a bunch of fukin wins, and a dude named Naismith. 15 FF's----3 titles. Indiana has 8 FF's----5 titles. Meaning----IU more often than not, finished the job.

I like Kansas. Top notch, blue blood program. But that title is built on the backbone of having guys like James Naismith and Phog Allen coach there----along with 2, 000 wins(mostly over shit B8 teams) and of course the FF's. But the 3 titles is as damaging as Indiana's fall from grace the past 20 years. At the end of day, its simply this----Since 1987, Kansas has two titles, IU one....So congrats on winning a numch of games, going to 5 more FF's, and gaining one more title....

And BTW, even in worst years, Kentucky never came to our house, and smacked us around like that..

Should they have more? Sure. Also lost a golden opportunity a few years ago. Their best opportunity in many years, including ‘08 (relative to the field). Shit happens.

But as much as certain fanbases like to reduce success down to title count, we all know that there’s more than that. There’s a reason that UCLA is generally ranked lower all-time than a couple programs with half as many titles (UNC/Duke). So yes, those other things matter (consistency, overall wins, final fours, conference titles, tourney appearances, tourney wins, recent success). There’s a reason it’s called March Madness. The better team often doesn’t advance.

When sizing up a team’s all-time success, the pre-tourney years matter too. KU had a lot of teams in that era that would have been title worthy had there been a tourney.

Btw, it’s kind of funny that you make fun of KU for two titles since ‘88, even though that matches the output of the entire Big 10 (and 0 titles in over 20 years). 🤣 You don’t seem to hold your supposedly great league to the same standard.

No issue whatsoever taking my lumps when KU loses. When KU sucks they really suck. Just don’t do troll threads. Also don’t post very often like I used.

Better than watching Kansas choke all the time i guess?
Their chokes are a product of the expectations they create for themselves.

Hard to choke when you miss the tourney, earn a crappy seed, or have a losing record, no? But keep telling yourself that it's somehow worse to fall short of a national title than to have a terrible all-around season.

Teams vs Conference's are two different animals. You know this. I think? But hey, since you went there.......

IMO, a conference's strength isn't defined by the dominance of one team or two. Its what the conference as a whole does. Or has done. In those 20 years, or even since 1988, the Big 10 has routinely put multiple teams in the FF, and had multiple play for a title. But congrats on being the BIG FISH, in a really, really small pond. Do you really think because a team wins the title, it makes their conference better? The best? Really? If Gonzaga had beaten UNC or Baylor, in your opinion that would have made the WCC the best conference? Surely you're not this ignorant......

During the BIg 8 years, the conference was routinely terrible, bad. Probably why you dudes won the damn conference 43 times...And was the only team from the Big 8 to win a title. And yes, I know, you guys beat Oklahoma in the 1988 title game. The Big 12 over the years has become better and better---and is a really strong conference. IMO, very comparable to the B10, ACC and the old BE--MOF, both "old" BE. Look, sometimes the best team is from the best conference----but not often. Unless of course you feel the Big East was the best conference each time Villanova won the title? What about the AAC? Was it the best conference in 2014?

No titles since 2000 doesn't indicate that the B10 hasn't been one of, if not the best conference. Just means they haven't had the best team...Or the team that was fortunate to win it...BUT.....they have had multiple chances, and outside of the ACC, have put more teams in the FF, and in the title games. Since 2000, the BIg 10 has sent 6 different teams to the title game: MSU, UM, OSU, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana. The Big 12 has sent 3----Kansas, TT and Baylor. You guys and Baylor were fortunate to win the title. Kudo's for that.

I just don't get the, "such and such conference hasn't won a title", therefore they cannot be the best conference...Thats just dumb. Unless of course, you feel the AAC was the best conference in CBB in 2014?? Maybe you do....

The Nebraska of basketball. Padded their stats beating up on the poor.

Not quite THAT bad.....Nebraska did have to deal with some really good OU teams----and at times, very good Colorado teams.

But point stands...

Meh. Colorado lost to IL the year they supposedly won the title. And playing one good OU team a year isn't that impressive, IMO.

Kansas by far is worse though. Who did the Big 8 even have in basketball, lol

I never said that the winning team's conference is the best in a given year and obviously I don't believe that. But if your conference is supposedly loaded with great programs, you should probably stumble into a title now and then, right? I mean, the 14 of you should at least combine for more titles in that span than the program you're making fun of for lack of titles....right?

I'm giving you FOURTEEN programs vs one underachieving program and you can't beat it. And yet you guys brag endlessly about your league while dogging on KU. 🤣

Btw, it's interesting that final fours and runner-ups are impressive when it fits your argument. Doesn't seem to impress you that KU has a lot of each.

If KU's an underachiever, then the Big 10 has massively underachieved.

The Big 10 has 8 programs in the all time AP top 25

To be fair, KU & MD have the same amount of titles this millennium

So , ummm, let me get this straight....Since 1988, Kansas having the same amount of titles of the Big 10 means the Big 10 is not one of the best conference's---if not the best? What the **** kind of back woods Kansas frontier shit is that?

Out of 108 possible conference titles in football----NB and OU won 75 of them...

In hoops, OU and Mizzou were solid here and there...Nothing sustained though. Kansas State during the Korean War had some good teams....Those 4 teams, KU, KSU, MZ and OU won 88 of the 106 conference titles. Kansas accounted for HALF of those...

And BTW, when you have a school in your conference, who's baseball field damn near holds more fans than their basketball "arena"---you got a problem...
