Right, but 7 of those were against the best teams in the country. The whole quad argument has to have some nuance within the quad itself. If you leave them out over someone else you are basically saying their own metrics don't count. However, I would have zero issues with that Q1 record keeping them out. Just saying there isn't a good argument to be made for one school definitely being deserving over another. They are all crappy teams.
unc got helped because they played a tough OOC schedule. didnt beat any of the tough teams but it looks good on a metric

Of course Bubba passed on that question😂 Maybe I’m just overthinking it but it looks pretty shady for UNc to get in with a 1-12 Q1 record with Bubba being the head of the committee.
Nice to see V. Goldin and N. Burnett doing well. Both were on the 2020-21 TTU team.
I was really hoping UNCW got in that 12 vs 4 or at least 13 vs 5. But they got sent to Wichita as the 14 to play against Texas Tech.
UNC Athletic Director Bubba said he wasn't in the room when UNC discussed. Vice Chair basically pivoted and said it was all about result of Memphis UAB game. Didn't really explain why UNC got in though.
Then later Bubba said West Virginia was basically next team in but injury to West Virginia senior forward Tucker DeVries was a factor in them not getting in.
lol, Devries has been out since early December and they have some good wins since then including @ Kansas and vs ISU.
They can put some points up. They've been fun to watch this year. They rebound well and also are a good passing team. But this is in the CAA of course. They played Kansas early on. Wasn't really a game. Newby can get hot and score in bunches. If he is on, they might make it a game for the first half. But Texa Tech is definitely in another league from Wilmington.

I also brought up Clemson, same record as us and we beat them both times, yet they’re a 5 seed. College basketball is a joke if they are not using the eye test at all.
Their quad 1 record is ass, but they are 36th in the NET, the teams on the first 4 out had a much lower NET ranking, so they probably should be in.

No. 7 Kansas
No. 2 Iowa St
Boise beat 6 tournament teams including a No. 4 seed
However, UNC got in with their best win being No. 18 UCLA. They also lost to Kansas who WVU beat. The B12 this year definitely was better than the ACC. Texas getting in with 15 losses is also kinda crazy.

I mean South Carolina went 2-16 in the SEC and is 2-0 against the ACC.l including beating Clemson
Indiana got screwed also. Indiana won at michigan st. Beat Purdue. Only losses are quad 1
🤔It was literally a rivalry game which went to OT. SC problem is that they couldn't win close games mostly.
South Carolina would have had a winning record against in the ACC. They are actually a decent team. Auburn only beat them by 3
Clemson also beat Kentucky who Louisville lost to. Clemson also beat Duke who beat Louisville 2x this year.
We don't know that but at the end of the day they still were trash this year. It's easy to have upsets in basketball than any other sport.
Yeah but ACC sucks. Louisville is an 8 seed. But UNC played a tough schedule? Because they played Duke 3 times?
