Running UK Game Thread: SEC Tournament

I try to stay as realistic as I can...

UK legit has no PG. No Butler, no Jax, no Kriisa.

Otega missed most of the first half. Carr is getting treatment on the sideline. It is what it is. Not one team in America would be able to withstand all these injuries, especially to the most important position in college basketball, which is the backcourt.

I couldn't care less about this game, as anyone with a brain new Bama would roll over UK.

I was pretty confident Bama would win but I thought we'd play a lot better than this. Our dudes just gave up. First time this year I've seen them roll over and take it.
To be honest, it doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

Bama is the worst matchup, in my opinion, for UK in the SEC this year. They are the most athletic team in the conference. UK is already lacking when it comes to overall athleticism, and then when you factor in all the injuries and playing until 1:30am ET the night before, not really a shock to me.

I was told on here that everyone deals with injuries and stop using injuries as an excuse. Hats off to the other 360+ D1 teams, they obviously figured out how to play most of their injured guys and make them look like they're not injured. That’s amazing.

bama has 3 players out, Roll Tide!

I still think that with a favorable draw we're an Elite 8 team.
Hopefully we can get back to shots falling. Everything is rushed. Granted other teams are pressing more on our threes, but that should, in theory open up some cuts. We're just not hitting right now.

Playing the end of our bench isn't helping right now but, fingers crossed, it'll help down the road.

We don’t have the talent to beat Bama with Jax and Butler out. They’re too good. Florida would have beaten us just as bad
No doubt, we were just outmatched. Kept it close in the first half and the wheels just fell off. Not much you can do there other than get some rest and move on.

Anybody else in Western KY? Supposed to get really bad weather tonight and tomorrow. Hoping it's not as bad as they are expecting it to be. Our town is due to get hit hard one day. The tornados always barely miss us.
We're now under a tornado watch. Wife and I both have PTSD from the last one. I'm staying up all night apparently.

I never saw a tornado until we moved here and have seen 3 so far. One really up close. Too close for comfort. So close, I think we were in the middle of it.

I'll never forget the first one though, it was March when we moved here and lived with the inlaws for a bit.

Sirens was going off and she with her family went to seek shelter, but I stayed back because UK was playing. It got close enough where I took the cot I was sleeping on (her family didn't approve of us sleeping in the same room due to not being married then) and used it to cover up in the bathtub.

2nd one I was at Walmart, and they decided to lock the front doors. People inside were trying to get out b/c family in cars, and ppl outside were trying to get in. They broke the sliding doors down.

Last one is documented on page 677 in the nonsense thread.

Yeah my anxiety isn't going to let me sleep tonight either. Tornados scare the shit out of me, especially since I have absolutely nowhere in my house that would protect me. Supposed to hit here in about an hour or so. I'm going to have Ryan Hall Yalls YouTube live feed pulled up and hope for the best.

First one was the only one with hail. I picked up golf ball size hail afterwards. It be the every living piss out of the cars on the lot.

I'll never run from a tornado again, just hunker down and leave to the Lord almighty to choose your fate.

We would have lost all our cars in the last one regardless, I put us in danger by deciding to flight. When I walked back to our home, I had to pull everyone's back porch joff ust to get in the door.

Whole ordeal last about 5 minutes, felt like 5 hours.

*im' sharing all this b/c it's the only advice I can give. Advice means very little in a tornado.

I'm here all night if you want to chat.

My theory on why the tornados always go above or below my town is because of the river. I feel like the tornados avoid the river. But I'm also dumb as f*** so thats probably not the reason. Probably just gotten really fortunate. Hoping we stay fortunate the next few days.
Y'all are like family to me.....meaning I won't sleep with any of you.
