Everything else from here is gravy. Pope has done a masterful job this year, inheriting an empty roster, putting it together in a few weeks, and navigating the litany of injuries UK as had this year. Man how I wish Robinson was healthy.

Pope has been incredible this year. Despite it all, wins over Duke, Florida - swept Tennessee and now made the S16. Just unreal.

I'm amazed by how positive Mark Pope is. IRL I strive to be as nice and positive as I can and constantly try to get better, but wow, what a gracious person he is. Very happy to have him as the role model for our players going forward.
I use words like "get to" instead of "have to"...little thinks like that, and during Pope's post-press conference, he caught him about to say something "negative" and it wasn't negative, it was just not using a word like didn't, couldn't, could have.

It's the biggest game in UT's history.
For UK, it's important but I can name dozens of games bigger in our past. I'm still hurt by some of them. I won't be hurt by this one due to circumstances.
If anything, I'd be ok if this is Barnes last win in his career. It would make his career complete. Beat UK and tie UT's best season ever.
