Rivals sells out to On3

Would it be sad if they shut down the internet?

We'd just go back to how it was prior.

*being you're old enough to remember preinternets.
I remember. 😂

I do. The first college basketball board that I was on was in 1996-7 on AOL. It was crude but fun.

That was 10 years after I got my first intellectual property on a computer program.

I started out using only a mainframe IBM. It was hard with those little green screens. Our first spread sheet was Lotus 123 loaded on a mainframe. I am old. One way or the other I have been using a computer since 1968. I am one old dude.

When I joined the Army in 1986, they taught us how to use punch cards. Thankfully I never actually had to use one but there were still some in use.

Found this pic of you in the archives.

So on3 was designed to be publisher-friendly and downplay subscriber interaction. It is built around constant recruiting updates and featured columns to disseminate info.. the publishers grew sick of fan babysitting and wanted a spot where they could just stream info while keeping the great unwashed at arms length.

I never thought much of On3 after I saw the way they determined NIL value for players.

Is that the board everyone is moving to? Is the new On3 board not going to keep any of us?

Everyone please chime in here. Let me know where you’re going. It’s not the palace but the posters I care about keeping up with. This sucks
The bottom line is we don't know what they are going to do. I think the issue will be is there going to be a Free Board. I pay, so they will probably migrate me to their pay board, so it just depends if they maintain a free board or not.

It’s the only viable option I’ve seen. It seems we should at least move over there in the interim. This place could blow at any second
