He’s not as revered within the fanbase as he used to be. Evidently back in his playing days he caught a lot of flack for his interracial dating, so I think he’s always had a love/hate relationship with UK fans. His biggest transgression was a few hours before UK took the court in the FF he tweeted “Hearing Calipari to Lakers. Done deal.”

The latter didn't set well with me either. I couldn't care less about all his other stuff. He can do what he want's, doesn't affect me at all. That wasn't cool though.
It was funny he wasn't familiar with IU's best player. That just seems lazy.
Between his FF shenanigans, calling UK/Ky fans racist, political views/tweets, and past legal troubles there isn't a whole lot of love left for him from a large portion of the fan base.
Personally, I was a barely out of the womb when he left UK. So I never watched him at UK or in much in the NBA.
