Remember how some stupid people insisted that K announcing his retirement a year early was some dumb ploy?

K announced his retirement a year early, allowing Scheyer to recruit and put together a coaching staff and hire the first GM in college basketball, all to ensure a smooth transition.

And imagine that… it is a good idea to give people time to prepare for something and let potential players know what is coming in the future. Who would have thought?

Meanwhile some morons insisted A) K did it because he really wanted more appreciation (like he hasn’t gotten enough) and B) they wouldn’t want their own coach to do the same thing.

Right. How are things going over at Virginia, and Miami, and Syracuse, and at all of the places where the coach just up and left overnight?

I figure at this point everyone has left that nonsense behind and has understood the very basic concept that it is better to know ahead of time that a coach is leaving, if the coach already knows.

If only those schools had announced earlier, they too would bring in five top 10 recruits every year.

@TheDude1 , you've been gone a bit. Welcome back. You're a little rusty though. In the future try not to make your thread title longer than the title of a Fiona Apple album.
