Anyone who puts Purdue lower than a one seed is clearly trolling. Amirite? Lulz.

Have Duke and unc ever, since the expansion to 64, been on the same side of the bracket? Not the same bracket but where they could meet in the national semifinals.

I would’ve had Auburn at a 4 instead of UT. UT just got blown out last night.

Edit: I’m blind. Auburn is the top 2 seed

Kinda a joke we are a 3 seed. Would love to play Virginia again though

Lol @ MSU being a 3-seed.

MSU has had 3 games against Top 5 teams...2 more than anybody else. But we get dinged for a weak schedule?

Lol. Kansas and Oklahoma have no business being where they are. Maybe UC too. All they have done is win at UCLA (solid win) but that’s it lol. The other two good teams they played they lost to. One of them being by 30. I’d probably have them at a 4 seed

OU at #4 is absurd

Completely laughable. Tells me they could continue to struggle down the stretch and not worry about dropping too much. I guess they want to keep trae young in the headlines

Nobody on the selection committee has any basketball experience. Bunch of old ADs

Seriously, how many times does the committee have to put an underseeded MSU in UVA's region before we all admit that the NCAA hates UVA?

These committee members should be on this board because their trolling abilities are impeccable.

Last time was in 2011.

This is what you meant, right?
Yes. I guess it has happened but seems to be rare. Wonder if it has been since 2011 because of the hype train about being the best rivalry? That train seems to have picked up steam in the past 10 years.

So Purdue coming off 2 losses is a 1 seed. But MSU has wins against a 1 seed and a 3 seed and they are 11 overall?

Wtf. Was this made last week assuming Purdue would sweep OSU and MSU?

The only way MSU will be a 1-seed is if UVA loses enough games to warrant a 2-seed.

Didn’t say we deserve to be a 1 seed right now.

But we are the number 5 or 6 team right now. Not 11.

And Virginia and MSU can easily both be 1’s lol. We’d be in Purdue’s spot.

They can't be in the same bracket if they are both #1 seeds. You clearly are not aware of the committee's intentions.

"Mr Summers@BFreshSummers
@SethDavisHoops How is Duke a 2 seed, but Michigan St. and Texas Tech are 3 seeds?"

"Seth Davis‏Verified account@SethDavisHoops
Duke has more quality wins. Michigan state has two top 50 wins and doesn't play any more top 50 teams in the regular season. Plus Duke beat Mich St on a neutral court. All the games count!"

I believe Purdue has 5 top 50 wins. Which is the as Texas Tech.

So Purdue has more top 50 wins but I assume less top 15-20 wins. And the head to head loss.

FWIW, here is what I got based on a point system I use for college sports

1 Virginia
2 Xavier
3 Villanova
4 Michigan State
5 Purdue
6 Ohio State
7 Cincinnati
8 Auburn
9 Saint Mary's
10 Rhode Island

11 Clemson
12 Kansas
13 Texas Tech
14 Gonzaga
15 Nevada

16 North Carolina
17 Duke
18 Arizona
19 Tennessee
45 Oklahoma

Well they have KU as #2 seed because of more top 50 wins despite the head to head loss at home to #3 seed TTU.

Maybe, but who should take their place? There are arguments for them as good as any replacement (though I wouldn’t argue arguments could probably be made). I don’t find one for UNC there unreasonable though.
Kansas lost to Tech in Lawrence in their only head to head game so far, Tech has a better overall record, better conference record, and hasn't lost at home this year. I'd be interested to hear the argument that keeps them higher, other than they are Kansas.
