Played in Knoxville and Jodie Meeks (UK) put on one of the best performances I’ve ever seen scoring 54 points on the Vols home floor. That got me to wondering, what player from your team put up a big time performance and against who?

15/22 FG, 10/15 from 3, 14/14 FT

Pearl got blown out twice that year by Billy Gillispie and his NIT team, lolz.

Side note: those uniforms were awful. Skin tight jerseys and baggy ass shorts that went past the knee. They looked absolutely ridiculous.

It's nice even a down trodden program has a bright spot to reflect on. It's sad you have to go back 16 years to find it. 🥺
The number one song on January 13, 2009 was "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga featuring Colby O'Donis.
Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) by Beyoncé was the #1 R&B song on January 13, 2009.
Gran Torino was the top movie in theaters in January 2009.
The average price of gas in the United States in January 2009 was $1.788 per gallon.

We have plenty of wins against UT the last 16 years this was just a single game performance in a year we wasn’t very good and in a game UT was picked to win at home. Before you talk about programs reflecting on a bright spot you do understand that you wanna build a statue for your head coach because he has a one or two game head to head lead on John Calipari. Most of which came on the back end of Cals coaching career but you keep holding on to that!😂😂😂 Now, do you have a single game performance by a UT player that stands out to you???

You can tell your son, "I remember the day we got one on UT"

I don't have a son, but if I did he'd know there have been many of those days with many more to come. 😘

Since we are talking about performances against Tennessee, I'll just go with Zach Edey's 40 and 16 along with this block to send Purdue to it's first Final Four in 44 years.

Not really, we can just go back to last year in TBA.
Or, the 19/20 season when UK gapped the rest of the league.
Those great memories keep me nice and warm on a cold day. 😁

U kentucky fans are one's for ancient memories.

He was great.....proved he was the 2nd best player in the country last year.
To think, y'all are now a shadow of your former selves, reminds me of someone else.

Are you talking about Mr No-show Sheppard, the one who choked in the dance?
No. I speak of the one that embarrassed your point guard. That Reed Sheppard. Keep up.
27 pts., 5 rebs, 5 assists. Freshman off the bench.

Interesting. 13-4 against the #4 SOS nationally and ranked 17th with losses to the current #1, #7 and #10 teams seems pretty good to me.

Most year's you'd take that just fine. Don't let the last 3+ years warp your sense of what a good season is.
