***Official SEC Basketball Season Thread***

What they don't have that they usually have is a dominant PG that can get them FTs on demand.

Haven't gotten to watch Maryland this year but they're good no? Isn't Queen a stud? Are you guys just really good defensively?
I think decent so far-DQ has been good as advertised since coming, except last Thursday vs Washington. I do believe he’s gone after this year though, prob a mid to low first round pick unless we hit him big with NIL-really like him and Reese together.

However, straight up man-jury still out on Willard

Good luck to the rest of the SEC with Florida. They have a stud big man and 3 elite guards.

UK needs to figure out their rebounfing issues. Even Brown outrebounded them, but they got their asses kicked on the glass today, even struggled on free throw rebounding. They watch the ball fly through the air instead of getting a body on someone.

Florida had at least 19 more 2nd chance points than the Cats, that needs to change.

I'm not going to complain about the refs, but both teams attacked the rim and somehow Florida had twice as many ft attempts, that’s kinda odd to me.

Great game though.

It will be interesting to see if we can slow down that UF point production in Gainesville.

I said this in another thread and i think i still feel this way. Auburn is the only team I see being able to win somewhat consistently on the road in conference play. It helps they have a somewhat nice schedule too.
Agreed, although I still don't see any teams escaping conference play with fewer than 4-5 losses.

The Gators did mess one thing up: They sold student tickets to the public as part of a three-game holiday package. Police had to escort dozens of angry students out of their usual courtside seats before tipoff.

How does that even happen? I would be irate too.

Yeah I read about that, people on the Florida boards were calling out the AD. In the broadcast they said something about students not being on campus yet, but it seems late for students not to be at school yet. Guessing it was just a "let's hook up some boosters so they can fork it up for NIL" type thing. ****ers better be throwing in after that showing! 🤣

and that is now 7 Quad 1 Victories for Auburn.
Didn't see this game but saw that Auburn had a big lead at one point. Was kind of surprised they only won by 5. How did they manage to give up 55 in the 2nd half? Pretty wild considering Texas only made 5 threes and had 6 assists for the whole game.

He was all over the court, blocking runout dunks, getting rebounds, jitting crazy shots. Every team has a guy like that and they grow beer muscles at home.

Don’t care. We accomplished our mission. Broome showboated & acted like a thug in our games last season, now he has a torn Achilles & is DONE. Karma always wins. Bitch.
He didnttear his achilles. Sprained ankle. He will be back in a few weeks. Classy of you cheering for a player to get hurt though. Nice work dipshit
