Have a bad feeling that this is gonna play out very similarly to the UConn game and the Houston guards/wings will terrorize us on the perimeter defensively.
I watched them defeat Notre Dame in an Elite Eight matchup in Indianapolis that year. Notre Dame had a great team, with six players who eventually went on to play in the NBA. Magic has referred to that game as the true National Championship. They knew once they got by the Irish, that was it.

Ha. Looks like you answered the question the same time I was asking it. That year was my earliest real memories of college basketball. Depaul was loaded too if I recall.
Magic is an AIDS ridden idiot. Yea ND was cleary the #2 team, the same ND team that lost to DePaul a week before the tournament.
I didn't see the game so not sure they choked, but given Ray Meyer's coaching pedigree I'd say there's a 90% chance you are telling the truth.
Lambeer did not have flashy numbers for a Sr of his stature. Was he the enforcer at ND that he became in the NBA?
I don't believe Bill was a thug in college. He blossomed into that role, playing for the Pistons.
It should. Izzo and team have battled every game. I think Um can take out Aub but gonna have to watch the rest in the AM on early flight. zzzzz
What’s crazy is we could easily be up 10. Missed a half dozen good looks from 3 and a couple bunnies.
Bummer, good season, especially late. Tough seed but they did what they could with it. Dusty is a good man.
Will get to see the second half this evening, won't bother with the Purdue game as it has been made clear thay they got screwed by the refs yet again. I wonder if their AD will push the BIG for an investigation into what has been done to them the last three years.
Some of those players may return. Does it matter anymore? For Michigan State, it does, but consider Michigan. They had just one returning player.
