***Official B1G In-Season Thread***

As a Purdue fan, that would be rough.

Not only would IU become instantly good again, they'd also play one of the ugliest brands of basketball out there. Obviously they are super effective, but between the ugly offense and the hack and grab defense, it's just kinda brutal to watch.
Might get the style of play without the name.

Biggest snubs IMO:

I think Leal should have made the all defensive team. Dude is a pest.

I'm surprised Blackwell didn't get a 3rd team nod from at least one of coaches or media. I definitely could have made a case for Rodney Rice too.

Individual accolades are nice, but I’ll take team wins every time.
Is Jace likely gone? Looks like ESPN has him at 24 on their board and with his trajectory, I assume so.

If you guys could somehow keep him, I think you'd be fine. Akins is a nice player but I don't think he'd be a devastating loss.

I don't think anyone has a clear idea about whether he will leave. If Max Christie could go after just one year, make it to the NBA, and start, anything is possible. Richardson has a younger brother in the 2026 class who is a standout player. Surprisingly, Izzo hasn't offered him yet. Supposedly, that decision is due to having too many players at his position, and they're focusing on securing a quality point guard.

Akins is a great defensive player, but his shooting has been inconsistent over the past two years, which drives me up the wall.

Gotcha. He definitely is on the rise, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Agree on both points on Akins. He's missed a lot of good looks when I've watched too.

Didn't have Leal on the bingo card that's for sure.

He struggled through a small stretch but has been pretty good/consistent outside of that. Thought he’d be more than HM.

No. Because Woodson is terrible.
Still a number of younger fans don’t understand or appreciate what Leal does. The students do, the 40+ alumni do but the thirty somethings seem to want the bling.

I look at those BTN selections and just shake my head.

I like Blackwell's game a lot - tough and versatile enough to play on or off ball. We need Harris or Cox to make the leap into Blackwell territory for next season.

Not out of the realm of possibility, but would be huge for this team.
