Donta Scott has to be one of the most frustrating players in a Maryland uni. Shows signs of great play and also no shows at times as a senior.
By no means do I think JHS is the best player in the B10, but......he had scored 13+ in his past 5 games, prior to the Iowa game. 8 of his last 10 games, he's scored 13 or more---including three games of 20+: 24 vs OSU, 21 vs Michigan and 35 vs Purdue. Jan 22-Feb 1, he struggled----Then again,he's a freshman.

You replaced Northern Iowa as #3 on the annual shit list after Illinois and Iowa State. IU is our Super Bowl, Illinois our NBA Finals Game 7, and Iowa State is our South Park gay pile.

He’s pretty inefficient. You guys used to call Carson Edwards a chucker and Edwards was way more efficient than JHS.
Numbers wise JHS and Bufkin are pretty similar so if we are going to say JHS is that good then let’s include Bufkin, too.
JHS averages 13ppg on 11 shots per game...
Edwards took 20.5 shots a game---averaging 24----MOF, he damn near took more 3's a game(10.6),than JHS has taken shots(11.2). Even more, Edwasrds took more threes(380) than JHS has taken shots(335).

You honestly think Bufkin is on the same level as JHS? If so, thats cool. I mean after all, Kobe is a soph, and has a year of CBB under his belt. Has made a very good jump this year as well.
Edwards was more efficient than JHS is.
Bufkin and JHS have similar output but Bufkin is more efficient, too.

Bufkin takes 10.6 shots per game.....JHS 12.3(updated). Bufkin hits 5.1 per game....JHS 5.2...

Edwards numbers were 7.7/19.8....He needed 20 shots, 10 of those being three's, to average 24ppg...His efficency FG% was 50%-----JHS is 46%. Bufkins is 52%. Those are not worlds aprt numbers...
You called JHS a chucker---or insinuated as much----comparing him to Edwards----which is a really bad take. Edwards took 8 more shots a game, and damn near averaged more 3PA per gsme(10.6), than JHS did shots(12).
Again, do you think Bufkin is better? I don't care about the PPG, APG, etc....lots of dudes average 13ppg, 4apg...etc....What do your eyes tell you? If you think so, cool....
Edwards was a more efficient scorer so he shot more. Seems appropriate.
This was never about if Bufkin was better. I’m saying that if whatever logic people are using to cal JHS one of the best players in the conference it should translate to Bufkin because they are doing similar things. You can’t tell me they aren’t.

1----Carson took 19.5 shots per game. You compared JHS to that---It was a bad take. Not even close.
2---JHS is one of the better players...One of the Top freshman for sure. Bufkin is as well. Being considered a top player, is not the same as being considered better than a said player.
Your response(s) made it sound as if you were comparing who was better---IF not, my apologies.
If you have an efficient scorer you want them taking a lot of shots. Calling Edwards a chucker never made sense. He was simply a high volume scorer and more efficient than JHS.
IUBtown is calling JHS the best player in the conference. By the logic he tried to explain, we’d have to put Kobe Bufkin above TJD.
JHS is not the beat player in the B10----He might be the best pro-prospect---I dunno. But he is not the best player. He'snot even the best player on his own team....
Taking 20 shots per game is a lot....Making only 39% of them isn't all that great. He took 10.6 three's a game....made 3.7---or 35%. Meh.....
TBH, I cannot think of the last player from a P5 team, that took nearly 20 shots per game..
