I like how the Big 10 is thinking putting the Iowa and Illinois rivalry at the end to close out the season. They are selling the best rivalry, since Indiana wants to continue to let Purdue play pretend, but we had no representation this Sat.

How does that sell the league?

IU guys, any guess who comes back next year?
Only Race/Parker Stewart participated in Senior Night....So who knows. I wouldn't be surprised to see TJD, XJ, Rob return....Galloway for sure. I could see Geronimo and Bates leaving. IMO, those two were criminally underused..I think Lander is gone, Durr probably returns...Leal for sure.

I'd like to see TJD, XJ, Rob, Bates, Geronimo and Durr return; obviously Race----but I think he uses his CVID year to transfer. Don't know why you would participate in Senior Night, then return---but who knows.

You really think TJD comes back for a 4th year?

Iowa people are weird.

I’m not going to even speculate at this point because so much can change. Im confident lander transfers (because duh) and race Thompson is likely gone as well.

I don’t really know/care what tjd does at this point. He’a a fringe second round pick at this point, but he’ll also never be an nba player anyways so it doesn’t matter.

Te’Jon Lucas, one of the few players from the John Groce era still in college, just picked up his third foul in the first half in the BYU USF game. Still trying to shake off the bad habits he learned at Illinois a half decade ago.

I heard that name on the broadcast and laughed. Didn’t realize he ended up out there. I think he is from Wisconsin.

Yeah he is. Also played at uw Milwaukee for a few years too. I think the only way you could still be in college and on that last groce team is to have transferred multiple times. The other one is Coleman lands and he’s been at 4 schools (Illinois DePaul Iowa state kansas).

Yea I was a little shocked to hear that name too the other day when I finally caught some Kansas game.

I’m really excited to watch this San Fran team in the tournament. They have guards that can take over the game.

I think its a possibility...Otherwise, seems he would have participated in Senior Night? Or maybe he's along the lines of Phinisee---who said he wasn't doing so, and was gonna talk it over with the fam....I just think if a guy is 100% leaving, or strongly considering so, he goes through SR night....I guess.

With that being said---I really don't know. His draft stock isn't going to go anywhere if he stays---unless after 3 years, he decides to finally work on a jumper?

IMO,60/40 he comes back....TBH,if I had to choose between he and Race----I'd take Race.

Uh oh. Lots of people picking Iowa as a trendy upset to deny Illinois that 1 seed in the B10 tourney. @Jaycg15

Better make sure your Illinois come through for me tomorrow against Iowa's lowly defense that gives up easy hear ball 3s to anyone willing to just walk across half court and throw the ball in the general vicinity of the hoop, which constitutes most of Illinois' offense when playing Iowa......aside from feeding Cock-burn.

Btw, congrats on your hard fought win on the gridiron tomorrow, which I'm totally saying because Iowa of all teams is so well known for its body checking, physical defense and in no way, shape, or form, am implying what Illinois will be allowed to get away with defensively on its Senior Day against its hated rival with a chance at a 1 seed in the B10 tourney on the line!!! :D

You think wisc loses to Nebraska at home?

Makes sense but Ivey didn’t go thru senior night.

Sophomores usually don’t….
Juniors sometimes do and sometimes don’t. That was the larger point. I don’t think TJD not going thru it had much impact on his eventual outcome. Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if he transferred. His draft stock hasn’t changed in 3 years under two coaches. Maybe a venue change would help on that front.

Congrats on the win today.

What exactly would a transfer accomplish?
