We lost to UCLA in the tourney, just like Juwan Coward.

Your weird obsession with us "not making the tournament" is really bizarre, even for you.

We won three NCAA Tournament games and you guys were eliminated before the first round. Nothing bizarre about that.

What's bizarre is you guys started 14-2 and now you're shutting games off in the first half. January-February-Izzo, no?

The past couple years have really worn on him. Missing the field of 64 last year, having his prized Emoni Bates class fall apart, and now collapsing after a 14-2 start. I wonder how many years he has left in the tank.

At least he's not sucker punching opposing team's coaches. 🤣

Nope. That was just the Big Ten schedule. If you want the overall SOS:

6 Michigan

12 Wisconsin
14 Illinois
15 MSU
17 OSU
20 Maryland
23 Minnesota
26 Nebraska
30 NW
31 PSU
32 Purdue

47 Rutgers

55 IU

73 Iowa

Hopefully the tournament committee considers this. I’d feel more comfortable with an extra win or two vs the 6th hardest schedule in the country.

I think you need 2 more wins. 18-13 or 18-14 probably gets you in. If you split the last 2 and lose in the 1st round of the BTT (or lose both and win only one in the BTT), it doesn't look good. That would give you 15 losses.

What site is best to use for SOS rankings? I had previously just picked the first one I found, and it had this for B1G teams:

6. Illinois
8. Michigan
9. Purdue
11. Wisconsin
12. Michigan State
13. Ohio State
28. Maryland
29. Iowa
32. Penn State
33. Indiana
34. Northwestern
37. Rutgers
40. Minnesota
61. Nebraska o_O

Just wondering why you had no hope in March Izzo.
Check the thread, I've been critical of this MSU team all year. When we go cold we go ice cold.

If you're trying to compare fan devotion levels, I've been to well over 100 MSU bball games including a Final Four and NC game. How many Michigan games have you been to?

I’m not comparing fan devotion levels. I’m wondering why you give up on March Izzo so easily. Has he lost some heat on his fastball or what?

It goes back to the SOS argument preseason. Michigan would end up around 30th in every metric if we end up 17-15.

17-15 with the #6 sos

Vs

18-14 with the #20 sos

vs

19-13 with the #40 sos

Which is better for a tournament bid?

We can't tie, we're 2 games back with Wisky having just 1 game left. If we'd beaten MSU there would still be a chance. Illinois can finish second or tie with Wisky if they win out and Nebrasketball beats UW (not happening)
Ah, my bad, you're right. By the way, I threw in my predictions to that awesome BTT seed simulator, and these are the seeds I got:

1. Wisconsin (16-4)
2. Illinois (15-5)
3. Purdue (14-6)
4. Ohio State (13-7)
5. Iowa (12-8)
6. Rutgers (11-9) - 1-0 vs. MSU
7. Michigan State (11-9) - 0-1 vs. RU
8. Michigan (10-10) - 1-0 vs. IU
9. Indiana (10-10) - 0-1 vs. UM
10. Maryland (7-13) - complicated BS tiebreaker
11. Penn State (7-13) - complicated BS tiebreaker
12. Northwestern (7-13) - complicated BS tiebreaker
13. Minnesota (4-16)
14. Nebraska (3-17)

The BTT should be nuts this year.

I was just going to point out the bad math being attributed to the championship race when I read yours. The only team that has a shot at tying for the season championship is Illinois if they win out and Nebraska beats Wisconsin. If Illinois loses either game then Purdue can tie them for second if the beat Indiana. Top 3 can all still change depending on how this week/weekend plays out, but currently its Wisconsin with Illinois 1.5 back and Purdue 2 back.
