Yep. He never got fouled. But it wouldn’t be an Iowa loss without one of their players whining about the refs. Leave that shit to the fans or even the coach.
And to be clear, I’m not going to say Juwan is good or above average at developing talent. Brandon Johns, Caleb Houstan, Zeb Jackson, Terrance Williams, Jon Teske all regressed or underachieved.
Just saying there have been plenty of bright spots too.

They might be able to double down on a player like Dickinson, but if another team can go 3 out/2 in like Michigan and feed their other post, that's gonna be a mismatch every time..........
That's why Iowa losing Jack Nunge was so big. Iowa WITH Jack Nunge is not only a different team, but a BETTER team, unfortunately. (I say that, because it didn't work out that way)

Attendance is already decreasing. We haven't had one sell out this year.
Fran has gotten as far as he is going to go. And it will cost us a bunch of money to get rid of him.

I think there is a trend happening in basketball, but I also think our fans have checked out because of Fran. We have had enough.
Ours are just 200 years old.
We had the old Blue Hair problem years ago. They would take up all the goods seats around the floor, would never stand up, tell people to sit down and kill the spirit of the place. But they would donate money, so they got to do whatever they wanted

The pay-walled homeboard has a thread asking if tonight proves Keegan Murray isn't ready for the draft and if he should come back for another year of development. It's not just a wishful thinking thing, some of them actually think he played *poorly* tonight rather than recognizing he missed some easy shots which stinks but happens some nights in basketball. They seem to think the dozenish scouts at every game will see tonight's 23 inefficient points as a 6'8" half-empty glass from the 6'8"-athletic-skilled-shooting tree.

Every fanbase is like this. Some people just view their team in a bubble and have this vision that a lotto talent absolutely dominates every single game they play in. UM fans were the same about Franz last season lol.
The funniest part to me are the people that think they need time to “develop” in college and that they can’t develop as well as full time pros.
The development concern makes no sense to me unless a player is at risk of not getting drafted and signed. A 1st rounder is going to be paid to develop year round against competition they can't regularly access while in school. The pro development will be better if they consider you a real prospect.
Perhaps the issue is he is playing with the McCaffrey clan and their buddies.
Iowa basketball is like the basement hang out for the McCaffreys and their friends.
It's not going to be pretty when we whiff on our top targets 2025-2035 and have to rely on legacy recruits from our late Alford and Lickliter teams.
Its like Frans only goal is to give his kids the D1 experience at Iowa basketballs expense.
