No One Cares about the Final Four Now

If any of the bold were true Duke would be playing Saturday night.
True. Another year and more proof that elite guard play matters most. Look at MSU. Last year we have two top 15 NBA kids on the roster, but Cash was still evolving as a guard. No bueno. This year, after losing JJJ and Bridges, we are sitting pretty in the final 4. That is due to having Cash evolve into an elite college guard.

Pretty much.

OP,

We’re not gonna let CBS force Virginia, Texas Tech, Auburn and Michigan State down our throats! :D

Who the **** laughs with a B.

Also. You have to read 10-12 headlines down to get to any story involving a team in the ff bc espn has no sense of what fans want to read. Probably why everyone hates them. They are the US weekly of sports.

Bahahaha

Lol at hardest path. The West was the toughest region.

I think most would agree the South was the weakest region. I'm okay saying the West was the most wide open. Not sure it was the toughest. Gonzaga was the lowest rated 1 seed and Michigan was the lowest rated 2 seed. I think you could argue, however, that Texas Tech was the best 3 seed, and FSU was the best 4 seed (Auburn would be ahead of FSU if they were a 4 seed, though).

I think UNC had the toughest region, personally. Auburn was the only 4/5 seed I was worried about. Kentucky and Houston were both solid 2 and 3 seeds. Iowa State just won the Big XII Tourney - and Wofford was playing just about as well as you could expect from a 7 seed.

I dont ever care after UK is out. Its on to baseball season. Thats the fundamental difference between big time footbal bowl games and the playoff v the NCAA tournament. The football games still command your attention.

Clearly everyone on this board disagrees with you as we"ll all be watching the games on Saturday night while you"ll apparently be watching an irrelevant baseball team play a regular season game in a 162 game schedule.

Thats nice that all 5 of you feel that way. A lot more people outside of this board take my point of view. Sorry bout your luck guy.

The average CFB game, even a bowl or playoff, bores me to tears.

It takes a really dynamic QB to make it interesting to me.

I'll absolutely be watching. I enjoy watching elite level talent make eye popping plays, but I enjoy more watching cohesive teams play smart, poised basketball.

To clarify, I"ll be watching as will the rest of this board but I don't see the rest of the country tuning in like it would if Duke, UNC, UK or KU are playing. Even having another prominent program like Michigan or Louisville would make it more appealing.

I don't want to hear any rival fan ever talk about Duke getting an easy road in the NCAAT ever freaking again. We should've played U of M in the Elite 8.

2013: have to play a tough Sweet 16 game vs MSU and then play the overall #1 seed in Louisville

2017: play a Final 4 SC team in South Carolina in the 2nd Round

2018: play #1 Seed KU in Kansas City in the Elite 8

2019: play the highest rated #2 Seed MSU instead of Michigan

You forgot Mercer and Lehigh, both of those games were in Raleigh and FYI, the midwest was the toughest region.

Lol this is a great final 4 with 4 major conferences represented with 3 of them being their conference champs.

MSU a regional power lol they’re a top 5 program nationally for the last couple decades. Unless your national power starts and stops with 2 or 3 teams then ok
I think they're a top 10 basketball program nationally but I do believe Duke, UNC, KU and UK are just massive viewership drivers.

There's a huge drop off to your next tier like MSU, UM, Louisville, Arizona, UCLA, etc.

But but what will the conspiracy theorists have now???

I'd have taken UK over MSU as our 2nd Seed all day long. One team has Cassius Winston at PG and the other team has Ashton Hagans at PG.

UNC would have been placed in the East in that case.

What a bunch of revisionist history. Duke was far more talented than KU and everyone expected them to win that game (which was not in KC).

I don't think an ultra-talented 2 seed should be allowed to complain about their 7. SC was unranked and had double digit losses for a reason. Where should they have been seeded?

Duke losing to Michigan St this year doesn't necessarily mean that Duke would have beaten other two seeds. They should have lost to UCF.

I know Nish is going overboard but just because people on this board will be watching doesn't mean the ratings won't take a hit.

That maybe true but I bet the 4 remaining teams and their fan bases don't give a damn about ratings.
I'm sure they don't, I wouldn't if I were them, but that's not really the point.

Are you saying that not all 6+ billion people on earth will be watching the final 4? I don’t believe you.

Sidenote, since you won’t be watching, why are you still here?
Because you touch yourself at night.

Solid break down. West also had Marquette, Buffalo, Ja Morant’s Murray St and a Nevada team that looked good on paper. It was a fun bracket to watch

Feeling a little butt hurt are we?

Sorry our former walkon hit a game winning 3 over Zion. That really hurt college basketball.

Really though, you’re living in a bubble OP. People definitely still care about the Final Four, even though your team isn’t playing.

Click on ESPN's site and the first 2 headlines are "Answering Zion's big NBA draft questions" and "Inside the impending Zion sneaker war".

This might be the least watched Final 4 of all time with a regional power in MSU and then 3 no name basketball programs.

I hope the networks gets pummeled for giving Duke the hardest path yet again (underseeded VT and strongest 2 seed MSU) when we were their meal tickets.

Have fun assholes! RollLaugh
No one cares about your post. The real asshole here is you.
