Lol

Duke didn’t win a championship with Zion, but Kentucky did with Davis. 2012 going to be vacated also?

And Kentucky fans say that we should hire Peevy as AD. I know why now lol

Supposedly the associate AD was the one handling the money. Wasn’t that Peevy?
This is what Code said: "I had some solid relationships with folks in Lexington, so the first call I made was to a former assistant athletic director. He was no longer working in that capacity, but he was superconnected to some heavy hitters."

No clue who he is talking about (or if he's full of shit) but it isn't Peevy. He was an associate AD from 2008 to 2013, at which point he became the deputy director of athletics until he left for DePaul.

This dude is just trying to get a little extra money for his commissary fund in prison. Nothing to see here.

I thought UK paid 200K for AD. Good to know we got him for a measly 10K.

Fvcking best deal of all time. Imagine paying all that money for Zion and not even making the f4. Couldn't be my team.

Here for the deflections and the matrix bullet dodging.....

They joked about 3k and an ugly set of women of the night, but let the games begin......

Eh. no deflections. some of it i’m skeptical of but at this point it wouldn’t exactly be a shocking revelation that anthony davis got some kind of impermissible benefits.

only thing i don’t believe is that anyone working for or associated with UK handed his mom an envelope full of money.

but you know…it doesn’t really matter where it came from if you’re talking eligibility.

that was always my thing with teddy bridgewater. dude got money to go to miami. so what if he didn’t go to miami. he still should have been ineligible. same would apply to davis, zion and anyone else that gets money to go to one school and ends up at another.

and this is where any program that has had games vacated has a legit gripe with the ncaa and why i refuse to recognize it.

other kentucky fans hate it when i talk about UL’s 2013 team but why should i accept the ncaa’s stance on that when they’ve shown repeatedly they vacate games arbitrarily?

i doubt the ncaa even looks into Davis though. I kind of expect them to just move on from the zion stuff with no real resolution either.

holy crap i write too much. / rant/ted talk/

Damn that made alot of sense @Montana81 , kudos.

i get the other side tho, ive said it 1000 times, if my school wasnt implicated in anything i wouldnt be falling on my sword saying how we were cheating with the rest of cbb just bc.

And yea the ncaa is done doing anything lol. Hell they already oulled the plug on the arbitrary rulings, bc they were overrun, with a whopping six cases 🤣.

ncaa is and always has been a joke. Glad players can now get paid “legally”

Looks like he was already in school when the family allegedly received the 10k. Sounds like it was off proceeds from the "Fear the Brow" T-Shirt. So, who knows what the asking price for AD was? But, that 200k number has been floating around for a while.

Yea the 200k number itself came from an assistant coach who refused tk go on record bc of the who whole coaching frarernity. Not rhat that makes it any more or less true but it wasnt just random people throwing numbers at the wall.

the biggest red flag in all this to me is how nike never got busted for much of anything anf they threw out all the nike aau/grassroots/eybl stuff. Even the nike schools implicated it was “rougue” coaches like wade and miller.

Whereas with the adidas, it was adidas themselves getting caught up paying players (bowen/de sousa). So we are to believe adidas was having bidding wars with themselves, when 80% if not more of the top recruits go to nike schools? Lol yea right. Plus as mentioned some kids like zion were playing both sides of the fence anyway. Im sure phil knight made that go away with generous contributions to someones re-election fund. Or nikes jist a helluva lot better (better than the fbi even) at not getting caught 🤷‍♂️. Or the ncaa realized if they tried to bring the hammer on every single nike school in the mix there wouldnt be enough teams left to field a tourney 🤷‍♂️

i know one thing, the new AD better hang our damn banner back up, fk the ncaa, i couldnt have said it better than montana did with their arbitrary enforcement of their “rules” pure bs and everyone knows it.

Is there a fan of any school anywhwre thats like, “yea i like the ncaa, i think they are doing a dam good job” i highly doubt that lol

He was worth much more. $200 K is a bargain. Hope he got at least that much.

Well, of course they'll move on. From both. They've been looking the other way at Nike dealings for years.

This thread exemplifies what I’ve been saying for years. No big school had morals and everyone got paid. If you choose to believe otherwise, you probably think politics are squeaky clean too with just a few bad seeds 🤣🤣🤣

What’s even funnier is some of the posters who threw so much shade and acted is if their program was body and blood of Jesus Christ, still have a history of cheating! Lol morons.

Which is why I’ll choose to watch NBA over ncaab any day of the week. Better players, better product, and one league is essentially just a g league now with NIL with even lesser players. Yawn. NBA playoffs it is.

Don't know how you do it... the nba blows. There are 2-3 shot happy ballhogs on every team. Iso plays time and time again while everyone else watches. Yyyyyaaaaaawwwwwn.

Maybe Harden and a couple other players but the defense in the NBA, especially in the playoffs is remarkable. With so much disparity in the league it’s been fun to watch. I watch a few NBA games and then go back and watch cbb (even too 1pteams) and it’s sooooo bad in comparison. I’ve been having a blast watching the Suns, Grizzlies, Jazz, Bulls, and Bucks play. Giannis is something else. Must watch tv imo. But hey, different strokes.

The is the first year I've seen the Grizzlies live in years. Honestly I think the last might have been 10 years ago. Free tickets then and now, but just no interest. Call me bandwagon.
