I wish it would have been a unc player blow out his Nike shoe last night instead of Zion. Then maybe they'd do something about those pieces of shit.
Hey, we are technically Jordan brand. That is why we don't have those issues.

Those people are that close to the court in every arena. Dean dome sucks btw.No doubt. Kind of wish it would have been a Duke player who twisted his ankle on the idiot Duke photographer last night instead of Cam. Then maybe they would do something about that dump and get those people away from the court.
Yeah it was weird. It is also from 2016. But it's crazy how common it is for such an expensive product made by 7 year olds. I guess it makes sense that it happens that common based on the fact that they are made by 7 year olds. But not based on the price.Man, that was a weird article, lol.
On a somewhat related note, I know a guy who buys and sells clothing on Ebay who found some original Jordans at a Goodwill for like $5.

Skeptical hippo on buying shoes from goodwill.
I didn't consider the resale value until after I posted that.Well, I wouldn't buy shoes at Goodwill. He did and as soon as he posted the picture had a bunch of sneaker heads offer him a crapload of money for them. He mainly buys shirts and sells them though. He was an ex student so he listened well when we discussed economics, haha.
None taken. You sir are hands down the best poster on this board.

Nike shoes don't last and they can get the price they do on name alone because of the players success. but you are lucky if you can find ones that will last more than 6 months.
give me a pair of 20 dollar sneakers every time.
I wear Nike shoes and nothing else. Even in my slacks and collard shirts, wearing my Nikes. My Nike shoes last ATLEAST a year. Rarely do I buy a new pair of shoes out of “need”. I get tired of wearing them and want something new or happen to find a pair I really like on sale and buy them up.Nike shoes don't last and they can get the price they do on name alone because of the players success. but you are lucky if you can find ones that will last more than 6 months.

Ummm, Romeo is the only non 4 year kid we have. So exactly how would ANOTHER 4 year kid have helped us more, than Langford?NBA talent equals wins right?
You would be better off with a 4 year kid. Not everything is about today

I doReleased the day after Zion gets injured.
Darius Garland been injured for months. No one gives a shit.
We need to rehire Billy G and you will not have to worry about the one and done. Some people are never satisfied.I’m tired of the one and done. I have been for about 4 years now. I want Cal to stay at UK but I’m over the one and done. It needs to go back to out of HS or 2 years. I see nothing wrong with 3 years like the NFL has. Just get rid of the one and done.
You mean like Rob Phinisee, Jerome Hunter, Anderson, Race Thompson, Justin Smith, Jake Forrester, Al Durham, etc, etc, etc...Or the two guys coming in next year----TJD and Franklin?Help build a base for a new coach.
How is that working for you?You mean like Rob Phinisee, Jerome Hunter, Anderson, Race Thompson, Justin Smith, Jake Forrester, Al Durham, etc, etc, etc...Or the two guys coming in next year----TJD and Franklin?
Miller is recruiting just fine. Mixing in some 5* dudes, with plenty of 4*, four year type of dudes.
Had IU signed some 4*, four year dude instead of getting Romeo, this team would be worse than what it is. And signing Romeo didn't hurt the programs progress. Thats just stupid.
You get what you pay for. .....is no longer a saying.
I have to wear dress shoes for my job, and I've noticed nicer shoes do tend to last longer. However, walking on asphalt all day every day, my shoes don't tend to last long.
I've had a couple of pairs of eccos. again the asphalt just eats them.Ecco. You'll thank me later.

Won't happen. More likely from high school to NBA or stay 2 years in college.Go out of high school or play in college for at least three years. Best solution for the NBA and college basketball IMO
I would still take it.Won't happen. More likely from high school to NBA or stay 2 years in college.
Probably more than one year. With the current record and player issues it is affecting recruiting and that will probably cost them another year or two.A new coach basically doing a rebuild at Indiana just wasted a year and Langford will be gone. IMO he just wasted a year.
I agree. Better than current situation.I would still take it.
I enjoy elite talent in college but I think kids should have the preference to go straight to the NBA out of high school. I don't think there will be more than 5 to 10 that will go straight to the NBA each year and those that go to college should have to stay at least two years. In the long run college basketball would be better.why are ppl against elite talent playing college ball?

It puts kids and the schools they go to in tough spots. I love watching elite talent play, but Duke is now in a tough spot because they don't know if their star forward, who shouldn't even be there in the first place, doesn't know if he wants to finish playing.why are ppl against elite talent playing college ball?
I understand your point, but I don't agree addition by subtraction. Don't we want to watch the sport at it's peak?I enjoy elite talent in college but I think kids should have the preference to go straight to the NBA out of high school. and how much do you pay for those Nike shoes. my shoes used to last 2 years minimum. hmmm 10 dollars per year,I wear Nike shoes and nothing else. Even in my slacks and collard shirts, wearing my Nikes. My Nike shoes last ATLEAST a year. Rarely do I buy a new pair of shoes out of “need”. I get tired of wearing them and want something new or happen to find a pair I really like on sale and buy them up.
Never owned a pair of Jordan’s or Lebrons, Kds or Kyries. I spend $70-90 on a pair of Nike shoes.
I don't want to confuse rights. If a guy has the talent to go pro, I' m all for it.It puts kids and the schools they go to in tough spots. I love watching elite talent play, but Duke is now in a tough spot because they don't know if their star forward, who shouldn't even be there in the first place, doesn't know if he wants to finish playing.
If you're ready for the NBA after high school, you should not have to play college basketball. Can you imagine being ready to do your job out of high school but because of the rules, you had to go to college for a year? Its not fair to your average working American and its not fair to elite high school players.
Watching the sport at it's peak will be watching high level talent stay two years in college instead of one year.I understand your point, but I don't agree addition by subtraction. Don't we want to watch the sport at it's peak?
I'm with you 100 percent. People don't realize at the most 4 or 5 guys are not playing college basketball per year. Big dogs will still eat, and we'd have our great players for longer than one year.Great players are still going to go to college. College basketball will have more developed and better teams because of this. Guys will be at schools longer.
Yes we might not have Anthony Davis, Joel Embiid or Zion but you will still get Trae Young, Tyus Jones, Devon Dotson etc etc.
Only a handful of players will skip college.
Kansas, Duke, UNC and UK will all still be ultra talented but will have more experienced teams.
I hate the one and done.
you mean a handful of players = at its peak?I understand your point, but I don't agree addition by subtraction. Don't we want to watch the sport at it's peak?
I think the #15 player is closer to the #8 play than the #8 player is to the #1.
