My early SEC Power Rankings

Yeah, if Florida State was in Utah, then them and Florida wouldn’t be rivals either lol. Your logic makes zero sense on that. As for the rivalry with us, Petrino quit coaching when Jurich was fired, then we made w bad hire in Satterfield. Even with you guys winning 6 out of the last 7, we are only one loss from being.500 against your team in the modern era. Some of those games were when we were CUSA and the Big East. We will get back quickly with Brohm, we dominated last year’s game except for two straight turnovers and a kick off return in consecutive series.
You’re making a lot of excuses and look, I get why Louisville fans hate UK, I get it, you're punching up, but as a UK fan, why would I punch down?

Florida and FSU have been in major conferences for tgeir entire existence, have both won titles and go after the same athletes in recruiting each year. UK is going after SEC level talent, UL is not.

I'm not saying that to be an ass, but keep in mind, I grew up in Jersey, moved to Kentucky in the late 80's and just never understood why anyone looked at a mid major school as a rival to UK. I understand UL is in the ACC now, but it takes a long time to change perceptions.

Plus, you guys seemed to do something to get slapped by the NCAA on a weekly basis, it was a comedy of errors and when you pair that with UK's domination in both sports, it's really hard for me to view Louisville as any kind of rival.

UK has never been a good football school, but we're still up 20-15 on UL. In basketball, it's 37-17 and it just hasn't been a competition for a long, long time.
In my opinion, UK's rivals in basketball are duke, unc, ku and ucla.

In football, it changes, because UK is trying to climb up the SEC ladder to a higher tier, so right now, our rivals are probably South Carolina, Mizzou and Florida.

But, this is just my opinion, UK fans that lived their entire lives in UK, feel differently.

In all fairness, Jeff is just being pretty light hearted and fun. If you're going to pick at a UK fan for being arrogant, Jeff is the last one to pick at.
He probably isn't going to like my last post, it's just my.opinion on who UK's rivals are.

Notice I didn’t list UT as UK's rival in FB. There's a reason for that, UT is miles ahead of UK in FB and whoops our butts constantly, that’s not a rivalry and I would look like the little brother trying to hang with big bro and his friends. I'd rather stay in my lane.

Louisville needs to make it a rivalry, they can do it, but it won't be today, tomorrow, or even two years from now, they need to win more often.

Seems to me SCAR is becoming the team UK hates, but SCAR fans are so ornery everyone hates them, so I'm not sure.

I think UT/UK are rivals because there is so much history. Y'all just don't make it competitive most of the time. Win a couple in a row and Y'all will be public enemy #1.

UK hates them, because both schools are running shoulder to shoulder, competing for more respect in the league.

Plus, South Carolina has had a lot of success over UK lately, before that, they weren't even a thought.

Winning matters.

And that’s my point, until UK wins some games, it just isn’t a rivalry.

UT fans look more to Alabama as their rival in football, not UK and I don't blame them.

in football, Vanderbilt is probably your top rival. You consider Tennessee a rival but look at that overall series. Vandertucky

Now you’re just lashing out.

But, how can you laugh at Vanderbilt? They beat Alabama and damn near beat Texas. They are certainly a better program THIS YEAR, but that'll be short lived.

But also, in my conversation with Della, I clearly stated UT is not our rival in football, because UK hasn’t won enough to make it a rivalry. I'm consistent in my reasoning and keep in mind, I'm not saying Louisville sucks, no, they're a good program, I just don't think they are on par with UK in either sport.

I disagree with your premise of it always having to be competitive to be a rivalry. If we lose to UK it will be a way bigger deal than losing to Tulane. That is because of the history and rivalry.

Florida's guards are scary good, but the unbalanced schedules also play a role in how things shake out. If you get stuck only getting Alabama, or UT, or UK, or Auburn once and it's on the road, well, good luck.
Florida never gets any help when it comes to scheduling. Good thing winning the regular season title means so little.

ESPN loves to make money, so UK ends up in a lot of blockbuster matchups and usually in prime tine after college kids are all jacked up after getting hammered drunk all day.

Is what it is, gotta deal with it.
