Anybody else annoyed at these announcers? They act like they are at a bar and just chattin. They spend very little time actually calling the game. I am turning it off.

It is strange because, let’s look at reality, anybody who posts here is a bigger fan of CBB and recruiting than 99.99% of the population. Yet, I don’t know who the **** I’m looking at half the time. A name for each play would be nice.

Every year my mind is blown by how little these guys know about recruits. Pay me lol

Any chance this Montgomery kid goes to Carolina, or is he already known to be heading somewhere else?

Nice work, Nassir.

That play he had on Zion was filthy. Dribble, step back jumper and made it look easy. Pro move there. Then he stole Zion's lunch money and he faked an injury to help his ego*.

*Maybe not but it sounds good.

Little was balling a lot (get it?)

Besides the Duke players, I was very impressed with Little. Has Roy ever had a freshman that was leading scorer? Hansbrough? Well if not, Little will be the first or second to do that.

the MCDAA game is fun to watch but i would take very little from it
mainly i just want to see the basics, how their handles are, how quick they are, how athletic they are, ect.
the college game is much more structured then H.S. or AAU ball
the Nike Hoop Summit is the best played game of all the allstar games

Barnes maybe.

Edit: Barnes was .2 a game lower than Zeller.

No doubt. Though maybe when they face UNC he should only play him when Little is taking a break.
Meh, it's an all star game. To me Little looked like one of the few guys that actually give a shit about it. The others just look for highlight reel material and play no defense.

I like what I saw from the KU guys.

Dotson is extremely fast and that shot will become good. Reminds me so much of Frank Mason. I'll be excited if he becomes anywhere close to as good as Frank.

Grimes already a great scorer. Will just need to tighten up that handle. Reminds me some of Selden but with a better shot coming out of high school.

McCormack is going to be another great C for KU. Imagine him replacing Doke as a sophomore. Self won't have to change too much up with his style going from Doke to McCormack.

I thought all the Duke guys seem to care a bit and really try and go at it. Hell, Barrett was fist pumping and staring dudes down in the first half (as Jason Williams somehow talked about how he was not being demonstrative at the exact moment he was, which made no sense). It was really just a joke though.

It might be silly to say before seeing how they gel, but if Self isn't in back to back final fours it will be a pretty big disappointment. Especially if Langford commits.

Selfish to hope Romeo really enjoyed running with Big 'mack ..??

Langford to Vandy, imo. Doubt they land Montgomery though.

On top of that, didn’t Barrett say his goal was to win MVP? He even wrote it down as a goal as a kid or something. Hopefully it’s not the last time Little takes what Barrett wants. SmokinSmile

Had a chance to win the game and got shut down on the final 2 possessions by Keldon Johnson. Feels good man

Jay Williams kept harping on about how they don't play defense anymore in these games like they did 15-20 years ago. He said he wanted to destroy everyone else on the court. But I did 47 seconds of research and I found this...

1999: West 141, East 128

That is the highest scoring contest in the History of the McDonald's All-American Game. Come on, Jay Will! Get with it! Your class played the least amount of defense of anyone...

Funny. Cause he wouldn’t shut up about it. Saying that, I’ve met Jay Will and he couldn’t have been nicer/cooler.

Who knows what's in their heads, but it would seem he's waiting to see who leaves from KU.

I'd think that seeing guys like Fultz and Simmons miss the tourney would start to deter them from wanting to be the big fish.

Listening to Jay Williams is painful.

Good guy but like I posted above, painful to listen too. Kind of like Chris Webber. Great dude but a terrible announcer. Imo of course.

My thoughts is Vandy is doing something illegal
This. They have 5* recruits committing to a borderline rec team coming off a 20 loss season. Something doesn't add up. I know Indiana has fallen off as a program a bit, but to potentially lose their top recruit to Vandy in basketball, wow. Kansas I would absolutely understand, but not Vandy.

Oh yeah, he has waited this long, I am sure he is waiting to see who all leaves for the draft before he makes any decisions. Vandy is putting together tough class though with Garland, Shittu, and Nesmith already on board. So it's not like he would be the only player they have.

I bet K plays Zion next season after suffering that finger injury, selfish asshole.
Anyone get a clip of him bending that finger completely the wrong way? That was fairly disgusting. I thought he haked it after getting burned for the second time in about 5 seconds, but the replay showed that thumb going the complete wrong direction when he put his hand on the floor. Sick

Oh, and Dotson is the best point guard in this class and it's not even remotely close. Reminds me of a taller combination of Frank Mason and Adonis Jordan.

All of the Duke guys seem to go pretty hard. Barrett was definitely all in (and looked great driving the ball). I think Little was tired of hearing about how he wasn't as good as some of the others and had something to prove, which he did all week apparently.

I thought Johnson looked really good.

I'm usually not with the crazy UNC fans who think ESPN is all about Duke but they definitely were last night. I think every interview they did was with your players and multiple ones with a few of them. I get the top 3 dudes are going there but there are a lot of other kids in the game as well and instead of actually commenting on what was going on it was basically a discussion over their guys and especially Zion, who isn't even nearly as good as the other three guys he will actually come in with next year. They have basically become a hype machine for OAD guys and whoever has the most. I get it is mainly because of the NBA but it is frustrating for those of us who really like college basketball, which is what this game should be focused on (all the kids actually playing in the game who will play it next year). The game itself wasn't as terrible as it usually is though.
