Why would you say that? It seems to me that Kenpom is wrong on the rating they are giving MSU, so I wanted one of the great CBB minds on this board to explain how a team could be tanking and yet Kenpom is not taking that into consideration in an appreciable way.

My guess is their offensive and defensive efficiency's weren't too bad in the losses, at least not enough to significantly impact their rating over the course of the season.

Is there a current trend factor in the metric? That should be an aspect that should be accounted for, but doesn't seem to be.
